DH &I am traveling for the first time with kids (nieces 9& 6) and the 4 of us would like to wear mathcing t shirts. I would rather make something unique and eye catching. I am kind of crafty just short on the imagination part. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, I made sweatshirts for our family of 6,ranging from age 3-67..that came out very good ..in fact they came out great! we were going in Dec and wore them to the MVMCP..I got the clip art of Mickey carrying a bag of presents with a santa hat on..put the quote "Remember it all stared with a mouse" and our names on the left hand corner..our pix came out really nice that they took at the party..when are you traveling? i used the regular transfer paper as opposed to the dark transfer paper which can be used on any color..depending on when you are going and what colors you like you can add a clip art and a quote or a family name..Marianne :wave2:

but we all just wore the same shirt, regardless of design. One day we had on bright yellow tshirts from our Kohls department store. They sold the same shirts in the boys department as in the mens. Another day we wore matching hawaiin shirts. Every time we matched the CMs and the Characters made a fuss over us. Not to mention it is MUCH MUCH easier to spot your kids and your group. I definately recommend it to everyone.

You could also go to a fabric store and look for Disney prints (or any other print you like) and use the fusible web to iron onto a T-shirt. Then use dimensional fabric paint to "seal" the edges, highlight any part of the design and add any embellishments that you want.

I did this for one of our trips. We each picked a favorite Disney quote. Then it was just a matter of trans. it to an iron on and on to the shirt. We did white Tee's. it was realy fun. Now We ware the shirts as jammies and its a great memeory. Maddy

I really like the tie dye idea. THanks for the link. My DN's stay with me 2 weeks every summer. THis past summer we had a tie dye day (sheets, socks, panties lol). This would be really fun.
I also like the fabric idea. I thought I could cut out letters and iron on our names or something.
Thanks so much for the inspiration.

Not my idea but I saw it the last time we went to Disneyland. Each member of the family had a red shirt on and it looked like the mom took a bleach pen or maybe a dropper and drew the Mickey icon three circles onto the front of it. Too cute and they had about 10-15 people with them from Grandparents down to a little one.
I keep saying I will get one of the bleach pens and try it but so far I can not remember while at the store!
