Have you tried Fruit-2-O? It is just flavored water - no calories, no sodium, no carbs.

Have you tried it when it's really icey cold? I don't like water much but I put it in the freezer and let it freeze halfway, then I can drink it. Maybe try putting a lemon wedge in it for a little flavor. Add some splenda and you have homeade lemonade:sunny:

Kay,
I have to preface this with the disclaimer that I am now off Atkins; but from what I understood while on the plan, Crystal Light is OK. I know it was much better choice than the Cokes I was drinking all day!

Plain water is the best. Some of your water can be from Crystal Light but MOST of it is supposed to be in the form of PLAIN water. It sometimes takes a while to get your tastebuds to sgree but it can be done. Water is what I drink 95% of the time now. I used to NEVER drink water but now it is what I prefer. Try some different bottled waters until you find a good one. Sams actually has a good one. Once I learned to like the bottled water it made the tap water transition so much easier.

I drink Crystal Light (Strawberry-Kiwi) when I need a break from water and something sweet. I was just told not to drink a ton of it b/c of the artificial sweetners in it????!!! But it tastes great for a no carb drink!!

I drink Crystal Light once in a great while when I want a change, but mostly stick to plain old water! :)

A WISHer once helped me understand the difference between drinking plain water and Crystal Lite. (Was it Jody?)

She said that we drink water to "cleanse" our systems. Would you bathe in Crystal Lite? That really helped me to understand why I needed to drink plain water. Fortunately for me I like plain water.

The "problem" with Crystal Light is that it's sweetened with aspartame (Equal) which can cause your weight loss to stall and can provoke hunger. I felt much better once I switched to Splenda sweetened things and got off the aspartame. That's why they don't recommend Crystal Light. I do drink a lot of sparkling water too to get my water in.

Good luck!

YEP --- that was me Kath!

I am finding that the more I drink water the more I am enjoying it.
:sunny:

I had a really TERRIFIC article once on water. If I can find it again I will post it here.

[I bumped two posts that I had made last year concerning water intake]
