Steps down?

Thrown, tossed, booted, ejected, pitched, shot, flung, hurled, heaved, chucked, cast aside – yes.

Stepped down, nah.

Another Voice, I've never seen a senior executive in any company step down................Unless he new the sstock was about to tank and he was cashing out, but if that were true, Eisner would be running for the hills. So, yes, he was booted, he took the fall.

Clearly he was pushed out. But you can't admit that in the press release. Cause then you'd have to come right out and state publicly that Pearl and Atlantis are not sucesses and the Studios are in at least some semblance of a tailspin. And though that's pretty clear for all to see, Disney's sure as heck not gonna state it for the record.

I've been a huge Eisner fan since he came on board and I'll stick by the fact that he rescued the company. I've read his book and thought it really conveyed an understanding of the "magic". But I have to admit, even I'm starting to think maybe it's time for a fresh face.

I don't think Disney's falling apart by any means. For me a trip to WDW is still the best vacation in the world. But the cracks are beggining to show and I just don't see any clear vision or direction at this point. Or maybe I just need more of coffee ;)
