Disney Stockholders:

I'm just curious - how many of you have received your ballots for the stockholders meeting next month?

I have called the Disney Shareholders Service number on three different occasions now, and every time they have a new story about when the ballots have been mailed.

I politely asked if this was Ei$ner's strategy for remaining Chairman - if we don't have the voting info we can't vote. She laughed and said they are just repeating what they have been told.

I just found an interesting story about this at Jim Hill Media:

http://www.jimhillmedia.com/main/index.htm

Look under the February 10th stories and click on "Got Proxy?"

Check it out, it raises some interesting points.

I just finished reading the story at Jim Hill Media. As a Individual Share Holder I will be calling WDC Investor Relations today. Thanks for the heads up.

I own stock in Disney under 5 separate accounts. Two actually have certificates in hand (my kids) and 3 are in accounts held by my broker.

In the past we received 5 sets of material - always bundled. Two came directly and the other 3 were forwarded via the broker. I spoke with my broker last week and he assured me they had not changed their practice but had not yet received anything from WDC.

As of yesterday's mail nothing here for any of the accounts.

What is the telephone number of Investor Relations.

wdw4us2
02-12-2004, 04:04 PM
The phone number for shareholder services is (818) 553-7200.

There is a recorded message regarding the dividend payment, followed by several options.

Most calls generally take about 5 minutes before you get someone to actually talk to you. I'm sure you'll receive the same speech that is mentioned in the "Got Proxy?" story.

Good luck!

If I buy the stock today, will I be able to vote NO?

I want to make sure before I buy this week.

Sorry, Internet proxy voting is unavailable at this time.

This is getting frustrating.

In just speaking with a representator of the Disney Investors Department, it was recommended, that if I don't receive a proxy statement, I should contact my broker, who in turn should call "The Disney Proxy Department," to obtain my "Control Number," so I may then vote.

For those of us who hold our Disney Stocks in a brokerage firm. This might be a viable option, should we not recieve our proxy statements in time.

I posted early this morning that I hadnt recieved the proxy yet. Low and behold it came this afternoon. I just voted my shares over the internet and got confirmation back within minutes.

The deed is done. Eisner, Bryson, Estrin and Mitchell, theres one more strike against ya.

Thanks Roy and Stanley for letting us in on whats been going on. I have served on boards and I understand some things need to remain in that boardroom, but they stretched the limits. Thanks for letting us get a glimpse in the room.

Accidentally deleted the email from Disney with our Proxy information. We are planning to go to the meeting in Philly. Not sure what to do since I think we need the Proxy as our "ticket"??????????

No. You needed to be a share holder by 1-16-04 to be eligible to vote.

BTW, I'm still waiting for my proxy.

This from an e-mail from savediseny :

All proxies should be mailed out from New York City no later than Friday, February 13, 2004. As they are being sent in bulk mailing, they should be received by all shareholders anytime within two days to one week. - Mark Martin - Save Disney

I'm happy to report my voter proxies finally arrived today.

What a pleasure it was placing the call for the "no" votes on four certain board members . . .

Here's hoping everyone who hasn't received theirs gets them in time to place their no votes!

I'm concerned about this. So, because they are late getting them to me my family can't vote on our shares?!? Very maddening and it seems illegal?!? Can soem one fill me in here?

Please see my post on this thread (ckturtle) regarding your broker contacting the "Disney Proxy Department" in the event one does not receive their proxy statement in time. :chat:

I have 2 accounts of Disney stock -- one directly with Disney and one with Sharebuilder.

I received both proxies by email. I finally got the chance tonight to try to vote. I had no trouble with the Sharebuilder one, and it said that internet votes are accepted until 11:59 pm the night before the meeting.

However, I haven't been able to get through to vote the shares held directly with Disney. I keep getting an error message saying that internet proxy voting is currently unavailable. If I can't get through tomorrow, maybe I'll try calling my vote in.

I didn't even realize that I had signed up to received my shareholder materials online from Disney. I went and changed my account information so I'll get it in the mail from now on. Hopefully next year's distribution will be more timely than this year's.

Have fun voting everyone!!

Today we receive an interesting mailing from Roy Disney & Stanley Gold c/o MacKenzie Partners in NYC. Towards the end of the "open letter to our fellow Disney shareholders" is a phone number for MacKenzie Partners, Inc. - 1-800-322-2885. I called this morning. I spoke to a man who told me to get back to him next Friday, February 20, if I still have not received an annual report & voting info. By then they should have authorization to send me the voting info including a control number.

I spoke to a friend last night & to my cousin this morning. Neither party has received an annual report &/or any voting information. We own our Disney stock & have had it for a few years. In the past we have all received our information in a more timely manner.

All of our accounts - the ones we hold directly and the ones through the brokerage - arrived as complete packages on Saturday.

Am in the process of completing the paper ballots at this time.
