3 nights Orlando, 3 Daytona, 2 in Key West (I think that is the 3rd place) 2 'star' passes to Universal good for 2 days each. One week car from Alamo... oh and you 'get' to tour the property... anyone know which group this is? They called tonight, will call back tomorrow (took me 30 minutes to get that). Kept saying affiliate of Universal, been in business for 22 years, but never told me which timeshare... would not give me a hotel name (Ramada, HI, or nicer... well HI can be okay or a dive depending on which one it is...). So has anyone done this one?
The 'package' is $398 and you have 12 months to book.
We have never done one of these, but boy did it tempt me.
I know lots of people say never do a timeshare presentation...

Haven't done it, but yikes! The only place with seedier hotels than Orlando is Daytona--there was an article in the local newspaper several years ago that actually mentioned rats--RATS--in hotels in Daytona. I wouldn't book anything without having the names of the hotels, and checking reviews on line.
I've actually stayed at a decent hotel in Orlando for $26 per night, booked via Priceline, so the price you are being quoted is not necessarily great. My guess is they are scam artists trying to get your credit card # over the phone, and that by the time you are ready to use the promised voucher, they will be long gone along with your money.

Sounds like Fairfield Resorts

If it is Fairfield you should be good doing it. I actually own a timeshare through them and have gone on plenty of their presentations and they have put us up in a nice hotel every time. I have also done one in Disney through Silver Lake and the hotel was a pretty nice Holiday Inn right across from Silver Lake Resorts.
Let us know what timeshare you are talking about and I'm sure someone will have info on it for you.

I personally would not do a tour of a timeshare if they werent letting me stay there..

I got one last night from Star Islands Resorts (Liki Tiki Resort) My price I thought was 299 or 399 I told him no, and he only said a little bit more. 4 days orlando, 2-3 days Daytona, and after completion a coupon for a 3 day carnival cruise. I wonder if it was the same one.
