I finally called and they acted surprised and gave me the amounts over the phone.
Should I be concerned that I never got it?
Anyone else still haven't received one?
I drop off my stuff to H&R. I guess I should just explain the DVC? She won't need the actual 1098, will she?

No, she shouldn't need to see the 1098 as long as you have the amounts. I am in Georgia, and I got mine about 2 weeks ago.

You will not get a 1098 until you make payments on your loan if you financed.

Even with a downpayment?

I finally got oen today, but it was only for my original contract, not for the add on. I wonder if I'll get oen for that?

We got two 1098's earlier this week. One was for our original OKW loan which was paid off in June and the second was for our BWV add-on loan that started in October. The bottom field on the form had a notation that is our contract number for the purchase each loan relates to. We had a small add-on that we paid cash for in the middle of the two other purchases and we received nothing for this.

Regarding taxes, DVC never sends a statement on that, rather I rely on the annual dues statement that shows actual amounts paid for the prior year.

I got my 1098 a couple of days ago on my add-on. The 1098 is only for the interest you paid during the year. The down payment is principal not interest.
