I don't know what it is about this magical land but i have to run straight to it when i arrive in Disney World.

I created this thread so that Tomorrowland Lovers (like me) can just talk about their favorite attractions, memories, what makes this land so magical, and anything about Tomorrowland!

Feel free to post links to sites and photos. Have fun!

Interestingly, my DD's (16, 6, and 4) ALL loved the Carousel of Progress. In fact, they choose it as the last ride before we left! Go figure!

I love Tomorrowland too. Carousel of Progress is my favorite ride in the entire park, actually it's my favorite ride in the whole "World". Space Mountain holds special memories for me too, it was the first roller coaster I have ever ridden when I was 11. Thanks to SM, I', now a coaster junkie, living for trips to Cedar Point to ride Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster. :D

All of the rides are great, well, I have to assume so because everytime I have been the Carousel of Progress has been closed.
As I understand it now, it is open since Alien Adventure shut down so they can make a Stitch ride. Maybe Ill get to enjoy it in about a month.

If I had to pick an all time fav it would have to be TTA. 10 Mins of pure bliss. Sitting in a padded seat, watching the goings on in my favorite land. (seats are much better than Spaceship Earth)
It is a very relaxing ride. I love to people watch so it works out well. My 5 yr old son loves this ride too. He calls it the "blue thing" This is usually the first and last ride of the day. Hopefully he grows about 2 inches so he can ride space mountain with us. He hasnt gotten on that yet.

The only drag about Tomorrowland is the Race cars.
Usually the line is so slow. It worked out good last Aug for us though. Had a little Disney Magic Happen.

CM at the very beginning of the "maze" I start talking to. Told her I know where her school is and we chit chatted about it. She then asked us if we would like to ride next. Looking at the sign it said wait time was 30 mins, I said, are you sure. She said yep.
She took us through the handicap entrance and off we go. It was great. After riding, I went back around and thanked her again. Sent a nice little email to Disney about her too.

Tommorowland is ALWAYS our first stop too. We ride everything
and love it. We always do Buzz multiple times-we're all so
competitive! This year was DS's first alone drive in a Speedway
Car - he was thrilled! I don't think DS has any idea that Tomorrowland isn't a first stop for everyone. We always wait at
the entrance for rope drop and run! It's so fun!

TTA is alway a nice ride for my 2 and 4 year old. Some of our best pictures from the last 2 years came from this simple ride.

I have great memories of Tomorrowland!!

I remember when I was just five my dad took me on Space Mountain and I was scremaing bloody murder at the end of the ride. Everyone in line looked at my dad like he was a horrible person for taking this little girl on such a fast ride, but I was actually screaming because I didn't want to get off. He had to wait in line with me again so that I'd stop screaming!! To this day it's still my favorite ride of all time, but Buzz Lightyear is definitely catching up to it. I think we rode it about 8 times in a row this last trip.

Just love reading this thread. You guys make me feel like I'm there.

Oh - what is my favorite. I was first going to say Buzz, then I thought COP and then Tomorrow Land Transit. I can't decide. That's the thing about Disney, you just can't decide what is your favorite. :p

We love Tomorrowland too! It's always our first stop. We either ride Space Mountain first thing and then head to Buzz, or grab fastpasses for SM and ride Buzz first, depending on the crowds. We all love TTA too. And we're very excited about the new Stitch ride. I'm hoping CoP will be open in June because it's always closed on our visits.

The whole feel of Tomorrowland is great too. We're sci fi fans, plus it reminds me of when I was a little girl watching Walt Disney on TV talk about building WDW with all the futuristic-looking designs around him. I think Walt would love Tomorrowland too!

I have such great memories of Tomorrowland from visits before I had kids, and now it's so fun to share it with my sons!

One ride I do miss though is: Delta Dream Flight.l It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooo much fun. (at least to me). I wish they kept it and never put in Buzz. But Space Mountain was my first non kidie coaster (I was actually 4 when I went on it for the first time). I was always a coaster junkie (since I was two, how sad is that lol:p). But it made me more into coasters. Iv'e actaully been on 62 coasters. And I'm only 13.

Ditto to what has been said. I would add this one.... Has anyone experienced the moving garbage cans? Part of what makes T'Land special. It's a regular garbage can only there's a person inside. When someone attempts to throw away something..it suddenly moves. One time we spent a half hour having a snack and watching people react to that...

"Paging Mr. Morrow, Mr. Tom Morrow, your party from Saturn has arrived. Please give them a ring!!!" We LOVE TTA and spend a lot of time sitting, relaxing, and touring Tomorrowland from this AWESOME ride!! I have some fabulous pictures of the Castle and Space Mountain from this ride. Even my daredevil DS8 loves this ride. To keep the magic alive, sometimes I call DS8 when I'm at work and repeat the above line!

Also, although it's not anything FABULOUS, I really like Astro Orbiter. It was closed the last 2 times we went so I had never ridden it. I got to do so in January and I really liked the height, etc. Pretty Cool!!

And, to add to everyone else's comments, I LOVE SM. DS8 rode it for the first time this past trip and it is his absolute favorite at MK. It even passed up HM as his fav!!

Ah, the memories!! Thanks for letting me digress!!!!

We experienced PUSH the talking trash can on our trip in October, which talked to our neice, then last week which talked to my husband and we stood there watching for a while. There was not someone in the trash can though there was a CM a few feet away with a mic and controller. My husband spotted him.

Tomorrowland at night is the greatest! I love Buzz Lightyear and space mountain. I love being on TTA when it goes through Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. I can't wait to hear "Paging Mr. Tom Morrow."

Ours is always the TTA. I still call it the people mover ;)
Funny, this will be my 11th time going in May. And every time we go, I always think we will try something new, start on the other end of the park. But no, I automatically head over to Tomorrowland and right TTA. It seems to always have to be my first ride of the day, then right to Buzz Lightyear after that. Im just a creature of habit.

I am incredibly obsessed with The Carousel of Progress. It has been my favorite ride since I first went to Disney world at the age of 6. Recently, I have downloaded the song, "There's A Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow." It satisfies my need until I go to Disney in July.

By the way, since it is open seasonally, will it be open in July.

Everyone have a nice day.

What is it about the TTA? It is practically our favortite ride in the park. Even DD6 and DS4 prefer it over all the other rides you might guess would be their favorites. Tomorrowland is not my favorite land (but its a close second), but TTA is exquisite. I love seeing the castle at night from TTA.

COP should be open as I read somewhere they were going to keep it open as long as the Alien Adventure is being redone into Stichs land.

Im kind of excited to see that. Ive heard the whole ride several times.....Check out www.Live365.com then listen to Park Hopper Radio, Florida Project, Buena Vista Radio and or Tour Guide Mike.
It gets me in the mood all the time...:bounce:

Im still counting the days down....the waiting is killing me.

I love the TTA! (AKA "the blue thing") I think my favorite is Space Mountain, though... I can remember my first ride on it many many moons ago when you sat with another person. My mom and dad rode together and I was by myself in front of them. At the end of the ride, I was flat on my back looking up at the CM. She kept asking me if I was OK... Of course I was! I had a great time!!

Yep, that little trash can really supprised me and my son. I had gotten me and Justin guest of honor badges with our full names on them. We passed the can (along with my parents, sister and her kids) and the trash can called my son by his name :earseek: My son was dumb struck as was I until my dad pointed out the guy with the disguised fanny pack :goodvibes

Personally, my favorite is SM (favorite coster of all time as far as that goes and I've been on a lot of them). Although TTA has become a real favorite too (must be old age catching up with me

One thing I really wish they would bring back is the sky buckets (don't know what they were really called). I remember riding them with my dad when I was very young. They took you from one part of the park to the other. It was a lot of fun getting that kind of view of MK.

I'm also a fan of the TTA--wasn't it known as the WEDWAY People Mover some time back?? Of course, it dosen't turn upside down and have music blaring or go 40 mph--so that makes me think it's on the endangered species list. Every time we ride, it's never crowded and I can just see WDW thinking about how to get rid of it--..
Anyway--TTA is our very first stop at WDW (after the train ride) and we also like Buzz and the COP when it's open (which it never is when we're there.

I LOVE CoP! We got to experience it for the first time last December when it was open. By the end of the "show", my DD7 was singing along.....this is probably the attraction I am most excited to share with my mom during her first visit--in 2 more days!!

I also LOVE TTA! So relaxing and enjoyable. Love seeing the World from this vantage point.

However, Astro Orbiter (tho' fun) made me feel a bit queezy....won't be doing that one this next trip! I do love how it looks.

Has anyone else mentioned one of my other favorites about Tomorrowland??? The MUSIC! It adds to the whole atmosphere :)

Wow! I'm getting really excited about my trip after reading this thread! Now if the snow would just stop falling, so they can clear the streets and hiways before my mom has to get on the road to my house to catch our flight!! :bounce: :bounce:

I had the pleasure of working in TL during the summer of 2000. I couldn't have picked a better place to be in the MK. TL had always been my favorite land. I love everything currently there, especially the TTA. ;) However, I am anxious to see the new Stitch Encounter, as I was never a huge fan of AE.

Everything about TL is great for me - I love the music and atmosphere.::yes:: (I know I'm partially biased.)

Gosh.... it is so nice to read that a lot of you love TTA. We are huge fans of it ourselves, but felt ashamed to admit such a 'lame' ride was one of our favorites!

Tomorrow we leave for WDW and on this trip my DD 4 will ride Space Mountian for the first time.... I am tearing up just thinking about it....

What a blessed day..... I remember my first ride, and now here I am, a million years later, taking my child on her first ride....

Life is good.::yes::

The TTA has always been one of our favorites, back to the days when it was the WEDWAY People Mover. It is always one of the first we hit, even on E-Ride nights ::yes::

Speaking for the rest of my family, I would say that Tomorrowland is definitely their favorite. We were at the MK 2 1/2 days in January (out of a 7 day trip) and most of it was spent crisscrossing Tomorrowland between Buzz, SM, and TTA!! I'm not sure that we even went over the other bridges from Main Street.... we just went over the bridge to Tomorrowland and worked our way out from there most times!! I personally prefer Fantasyland.... I feel is is the true "spirit" and "magic" of WDW. And the new Philharmagic is wonderful...............P

Give me Buzz! Although it's humbling to see 12 year olds outscore me by 100,000 points.
