Weather at Vero in Late October

Possibly plannning a quick weekend trip to Vero for hubby's 40th birthday. What can I expect the weather to be in Vero- air temp, water temp, etc? Crowds?

We had an October stay at VB in 1999. The air temperature was around 80, and the ocean was very warm. Crowds were moderate. The only problems were that we had one day of rain, and there was a "red tide" that closed all of the beaches on the Atlantic for two days (one of which was rainy anyway).
