Well, I am sitting here looking at the bottle we got yesterday from AK and it is....

Dasani, 24 oz. twist top.

Just as a side note. Dasani is Purified Drinking Water and NOT SPRING WATER if that makes a difference to you. i only drink spring water, so I always bring in my own water.

Actually, Dasani is not even purified water, it's just regular city's tap water (as admitted by Dasani bottling plant in Canada).

Where did you hear about that? If they call it purified, it's supposed to be purified. :confused:

Maybe we should check out their definition of purified - my tap water is filtered and has chlorine added, that probably makes it purified.

It may be made using the city tap water but it has gone through reverse osmosis. Reverse osmosis is used to purify water and remove salts and other impurities in order to improve the color, taste or properties of the water. So it isn't just straight tap water.

Thanks phamton, that's what I was thinking. A lot of waters are done that way.

Since my previous post, I went to dasani's web site. They say their water is taken from "local" sources but is purified by reverse osmosis. :cool:

My vote is for distilled water! It's amazing how much stuff in the "purified" water!
