Hi
We are visiting WDW in August and are travelling from the UK. My DH is keen to try Alligator and any other unusual foods (unusual compared to the UK where our restaurants seem to be very conservative in their menu offerings!)
Can anybody tell me if there are any disney restaurants offering alligator or if not any off site restaurants.
Any suggestions for other things he might like to try are greatly welcomed.
Regards
Mel

I don't believe Alligator is offered at any WDW restaurants, however it shouldn't be too difficult to find one nearby.
If you're looking for game meats (buffalo, venison, etc), head to Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge resort.
There is a restaurant called the Outback, not the Outback Steakhouse. It's in one of the DTD hotels, I can't remember which one, I'm thinking it's the Wyndahm Palace. They serve all kinds of game meats and unusual fish, and I know they used to have alligator also.

You are correct CPM, Outback is in the Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa, and they do have alligator there. And the Territory Lounge at the Wilderness Lodge has buffalo burgers. {tastes like chicken} just kidding. And Artists Point has a crispy venison spring roll appetizer and a grilled buffalo sirloin.

Gator used to be offered at the Outer Rim at Cr and Narcoossees at GF. But they may have changed. Too bad it was really good at Narcoossees
Here is the menu website.

Gatorland has gator nuggets, I believe.
Charley's Steakhouse in Kissimee has FL gator as an appetizer. (Went there earlier this month) And yes, it does taste like chicken.

Boatwright's over at Dixie Landings used to have alligator and sweet potato biscuits. I miss the sweet potato biscuits. LOL

He is desperate to try alligator and has now added buffalo to his list of must try foods!
