Since I am leaving for my Disney cruise soon I thought I would thank everyone. Not only for advice about the cruise but about life. As you can see from my post count, I have not participated but lurked in the shadows for the past nine months. This board has given me so much information; saved me some money but most of all showed me that not everyone is out for themselves. There are people in this world that care. Not because they will get anything or the person they are helping is rich or famous. They help because they can. The way everyone comes together to help, pray, send pixie dust or just listen and answer questions is amazing. I need to thank all but there are a few I would like to thank specifically.
Jim (jgalecpa) You are the man with the words. If we need a laugh you give us one. If we need a cry or Ďahhí you are there. You seem to write the words we were thinking or wish we thought of.
Rae (Rae519) You speak your mind, no matter if it against the grain. Everyone always knows where you stand. You donít say one thing to appease someone and then the opposite behind their back. This world would be a better place if people had a backbone and were willing to stand up for what they believe in. You are true to yourself this I admire.
Shirley (The Perfect Gift) You make trips magical. Some might say this is your business, but they donít know you. You give so much of yourself, you are a remarkable women. I hope you never forget that.
Ann (AnnMorin) You go on no matter what, even when life dealt you a blow. You had such a horrific childhood but you go on. You are the first to volunteer to help. You find the positive in so much. I would have crawled in a hole and said feel sorry for me. You hold your head up high and are willing to be there for others.
Andy (Veranda Man) No matter what you are the first one to do anything. I donít know how you do this but you seem to be able to do it all. If everyone had a quarter of your heart and an eighth of your gumption this world would be a better place to live.
Chris and Nate (the Page Family) They say God doesnít give us more than we can handle. Chris, you have been an inspiration to so many. You never asked for help or pity. You asked for prayers. You gave so much at the worst time of your life to strangers. Your strength in faith has taught everyone to be strong. Nate ĎI can only imagineí but I hope your dancing and looking down at your wonderful family. This family has affected so many people positively. Words can not express our gratitude for allowing us a glimpse of your life.
DAID (Matt Oumitt) WOW you make so much possible and never ask for any recognition. You just give because you thought it was the right thing to do. So many people will do the right thing if someone is watching, but ignore a situation if no one is paying attention. Character is who you are when no one but God is watching. Thank you for your strong character. Thank you for making dreams comes true.
DisBoards Thank you for having a forum where so many wonderful people can get together.

I know I just mentioned a few and forgot many. Thank you to EVERYONE for proving that there is good in this world. Thank you for taking time to help people you donít know. Thank you for not being lurkers but participating. Remember you affect not only the thousands that participate but also the thousands that lurk. Sorry this is so long. Iíll go back to the shadows.

P.S. BD I know I have many spelling and grammatical errors. I guess I didnít have to go over this since your gone, I wish I did. I sure do miss you.

Thank you very much for what you have said both about me and about the others.

Please don't lurk - we like to have everyone feel free to speak their mind - even if it isn't the "popular or politically correct" opinion!

God bless!

Rae

(P.S. - And don't think any of this will hold water if you are anywhere near my shrimp!)

Thank you for the kind words - if there were more folks in this world as this board has, the whole world would be a better place - May your cruise be extra special and let us know how it all went ok.

I have only been a member for less than a month and the people on this board have made me also see what wonderful, giving people there are in this world. My heart goes out to those who are grieving. I lost my Dad, 56 yrs. old, 2 years ago to cancer(Thanksgiving Day 2001). That DAY will always be a double reminder to me to live every day to its' fullest and to be thankful for everything that GOD has given me! So when I read about the heartaches and blessings on this forum, I am thankful to be part of this. Carol36

Carol,
I am sure that I speak for many when I say I am sorry for your loss. The Boards are a place that we share our stories, some happy, some frustrating and some very sad. But we share together and come together to try to help eachother whether it be to make a cruise special or get over a challenge that life has given to us.
Yes, we are heartaches and blessings, and we come together,
welcome to the boards -

Rae

Sibs, I completely agree!

We have an *amazing* group of knowledgeable, helpful, and generous people here. I love the cruise board, and the huge hearts and fun loving nature of the folks here.

Have a great trip, and please come out of "lurkdom" more often! You have a lot to contribute. :D

Thank you all. We leave next week. Maybe when we get back I can actually answer some questions and try to be a help to others. Also, if I promise not to eat the shrimp, maybe I can snag an invitation to Rae and Andy's birthday cruise.

gonna go cruising

Welcome to the board sibs. I think you will find that after your cruise you will still come here, to give advice or just interact. This is a great group of folks here, and I come daily even though I am not planning another cruise at this time (sadly, but will again someday!).

Have a wonderful trip. ::MinnieMo

Enjoy you're cruise, and when you return, you'll find that DIS is a great place to get a "fix" when you miss the ship. :teeth:

Of course you are invited!

Everyone is!

And I'll even save one shrimp for you - maybe.

Enjoy the cruise, sibs!! If you need any more information or recommendations about servers or things to do, just ask - we are always ready to make those suggestions!

Sibs, Don't even think about leaving us now. Once you've used these boards, then cruised, you HAVE to come back and help the newbies. That's when the fun really starts.:jester:

Ohhh, that would be wonderful!! I had hoped she and Norm could join us on our pilgrimage in May, but that's a long time away from her business. Maybe we can start "bugging" her now about 2005!!!!!!

SHIRLEY?!!!

Ann Morin,

I would love to join all the ladies. I think that would be a blast. But, alas 12/03/04 is my 15th wedding anniversary. We are taking the kids out of school and going to Disney world for two weeks. I know all the teachers are screaming at me now,but no crowds. So I will be with the mouse and canít wait. Maybe, for the birthday cruise or another one. I haven't even gone on my first cruise and can't wait for a second go around. Kim
