Confirmation for reservations?

I made reservations at FW a few weeks ago. Should I have received a confirmation slip in the mail? Or is the reservation number they give you on the phone the only thing I need at checkin?

Might be a cost cutting policy. Wife made 6 res. last year for our Jan. to June stays at FW and we never got our envelopes. I have made calls for discount revisions and requested confirmation by mail and then got our YELLOW ENVELOPES.

The number they gave you is all you need. But unless things have changed, they should send a conformation with a pay schedule. Did you pay the deposit or in full over the phone? Either way I would think they would send you a conformation or receipt. We have done last minute trips and had the conformation in the mail box waiting when we got back.

I made reservations and received the confirmation slip within a week!! :p This was important to me because I tucked the slip in one of DH's Christmas gifts!!! :bounce: I have also since received a little packet in the mail welcoming The Anastasi Family back to Disney again, specific information for the time I was going to be there and info on staying inside FW!! :sunny: I came in a cute little purple envelope with Tinkerbelle flying on it...said something like "The Magic is just beginning!" :lovestruc

They requested one night deposit on a credit card. Should they have at least sent me a receipt for that one night? I just don't want to drive all the way down the seacoast to find out they misplaced our reservation!

You can only check reservations made on line on the web site. Any reservations made by phone or changed by phone have to be checked by phone. Let me tell you my story, now. I made reservations for WL, didn't hear anything, thought I would call to check. When they went on to the computer, they had the wrong address. It wasn't an address I had even heard of. For some reason, it took about 45 minutes to correct it. After that, I got my confirmation letter. I would give them a call. The letters usually go out pretty quickly after you make the deposit.::MickeyMo

I made my reservations over the phone and while you can't make a payment on line, you CAN check your reservation! ::yes:: I think all this changed when disney world updated their site recently. :sunny:

I made a reservation back in Dec for our March 13th trip and still have not received anything. I checked on-line and it all shows up, with my deposit paid. I just remember 2yrs ago when we went I received a packet in the mail with all our confirmation info.

I think I'll call next week to make sure everything is O.K.

I made reservations last June and received 2 confirmations in the mail within 1 week. I have never had a problem with receiving paperwork from Disney. Last week I also received a reminder about our trip, and an email about making priority seating reservations.

I made reservations for our first trip on Jan. 8 and I haven't received a thing. It does show up online and I do have my number with all my vacation stuff. I really want an envelope!:(

We only make our reservations online. Instant feedback as far your confirmation number, nights reserved, deposit/balance due status, etc. Then Disney follows-up with an email confirmation.

Last week was the first time I've ever phoned Disney to make sure my reservations were still in their system. I did this based on a couple of postings here about people's reservations disappearing. Mine were fine. To date, I've never had a problem with the online system or having a site reserved when I arrived at the welcome center.

We just made reservations yesterday for our October trip. I'll post when/if I get the envelope. I always get it--our's are usually yellow and red.

I tried to reserve online, but couldn't figure out how to request a pet loop so I did it on the phone. It saved me a penny a night by doing it on the phone--go figure.....

campingcorgi...there is a "remarks" area in the online reservations system for special requests. I believe you could request a pet loop there. We always request the same site that way and so far so good.

I made my ressies on Feb 8 online. I also haven't received any conformation in the mail, but I just checked on line, and everything looks fine.:hyper:

We got our BLUE envelopes today. One was dated January 23, 2004, and had been sent to Arizona rather than Arkansas. The other was dated February 15, 2004 and mailed February 17, 2004. Apparently we are no longer getting yellow envelopes but Blue envelopes with Tinker Bell's picture announcing the magic!:bounce:

Yup! My envelope is blue with Tink as well. I made the reservation so long ago it still mentions the Disney Club! They sent me a blue envelope after I unsuccessfully tried to apply a code for a lower rate than my AAA rate.

I called again yesterday to request written confirmation. I made the ressi's be phone in Dec. They told me that online reservations do not get written confirmation.:eek: I made these reservtions over the phone. NO, we don't think so. :eek: They are unable to send me written confirmation by mail. Sorry. We will FAX you something if you provide us a FAX #.:confused: I was on the phone over 1/2 hour and the only thing I accomplished was running down the battery on my Cell phone.:rolleyes:

we made our reservations online and put the deposit for one night. I received email confirmation and was told the balace was due at check in. I have received nothing in the mail, but i have a confirmation number and credit card verification:earsboy:
