We generally try to do our big sit-down meal during lunch and then just snack for dinner. We have eaten here several times for lunch and have always loved it, but we've never eaten here at dinner time. Is the dinner food/entertainment better than at lunchtime? Is it worth the extra cost?
Thanks in advance!

I like to go for dinner, that's when they bring out the Sauerbraten.

They used to have an expanded show at dinner but the last time we went (Sept '03) it was the same as the lunch show. Like Karin said, the only real difference is that they bring out the sauerbraten. Personally, I love sauerbraten, but their version wasn't worth the extra expense. We'll stick with lunch for now on.

OK, at the risk of sounding silly- what exactly IS sauerbraten? I've never had it!

Sauerbraten is a pot roast of beef marinated in vinegar, water, wine, and spices before being cooked.

Thanks karen! Although I'm sure it's probably good- I like almost everything they serve there- it doesn't sound like we miss out on much by going at lunch time- and I like the price better!

When we went last trip, we made a PS for about 15 minutes before lunch ended. (Maybe around 3:30) We paid the lunch price, ordered drinks and got a little salad. By that time, the dinner foods were being put out.

We had a larger, sit down b'fast (rather than food from our room) in the morning, so eating later wasn't a problem.

Worked out great for us.
