I bought a new digital scale and it stinks! For the past 10 days or so it has said that i have pretty much been the same weight (with fluctuating from day to night of course) . So today i got back out the old regular scale and it said I have lost 3 pounds.
So what do i believe??? I tend to think the regular scale.
Anyone else have problems with digital ones?

I have had a digital scale for the last 15 yrs. It would give me a different reading everytime I stepped on. I'd get on about 5 times and take the average for my weight that day. 2 Weeks ago I bought a new scale - a Tanita. Nothing really fancy, but it is digital. Well, it weighs by the 1/2 lb (other scale did not) and it always reads the same even if I step on 10 times in a row. It meant adjusting my starting weight UP 10 lbs, but I did that officially with WW today, because I truly feel this is my real weight.
Basically, I think if you pay a little more, you get a more reliable scale, digital or traditional. The Tanita I bought was on sale for $39.99, a very good price I feel.

Hope that helps!

I use a digital scale. I like it a lot. I did spend a little bit more on it than I would normally spend on a scale but I wanted it to be accurate and I wanted one with the 1/2 pound readings. I also like being able to step on it, get my current weight, and then being able to step off and look at what it says. With a regular scale, I was always hunched over trying to read what it said and the needle on the scale would jump around a bit.

I have a digital scale also. It doesn't have 1/2 measurements but it is very accurate. I can weigh the same 5 times in a row.

Another digital user here! I love it - when we got serious about losing weight we threw out our other scale where your weight varied based on how you stood on it. :teeth: I found if I leaned WAY over I could instantly lose about 5 lbs. My weight went UP 8 lbs when we got the new scale but it's accurate and I wanted to know exactly what I was dealing with when I got started. Our scale measures to the .10 which is nice especially on weeks when my loss is slight - maybe .4 when the BF is hanging around. I stay encouraged because I can still see there was SOME loss! Ours was probably around $35-40 at Target and like the others we can weigh several times in a row and get the same number.
