What is Sea Lice and what time of the year do you have to worry about them? I will be on the Magic's March 6th sailing.

Ya I was wondering about the same thing. I am also on the Magic March 6 sailing (Eastern Caribbean). Is there any other types of bugs that we will need to bring bug spray for? I don't want to pack it if I don't have to. The less in my suitcase the better!

I have been on two DCL cruises , both in december, not a bug in sight. I have also snorkled and scuba dived on all the islands. Never heard of sea lice. I would imagine Sea Lice are better than a case of frost bite.

Just a quick summary: Sea Lice are nasty little blighters, son of a jellyfish:D, er .. juvenile jelly fish. They are most prevelent in the spring time. Sea Safe helps you to not be stung by jelly fish or sea lice. Sea Lice will most likely get you once you leave the water so you put sea safe on UNDER your swim suit. Sea Safe does come in a version with sun screen (kinda wierd putting sunscreen under your swimsuit-but do it). You then can put sea safe over the rest of your body and you will greatly reduce the chance of getting stung. Remember, sea lice are small and you won't just get one - you will get many - and you will get a terrible rash.
