I ran a search and couldn't find this question ever being asked, so I figured I'd post it...What is your favorite souvenir or souvenirs from Universal?
For me, it's a Spider-man/IOA t-shirt (complete with glow in the dark eyes!). Actually, I didn't even get it at the parks. When I came back from Florida and was going through "vacation withdrawal," I phoned the theme park merchandise department and had it special ordered.
My wife's favorite is a tote bag from Toon Lagoon that has various comic strips printed across it.
I think I would have also liked the IOA soundtrack if I had known about it . I'll definitely have to look for the CD on my next trip.

My favorite souvenir is my blue and tan Islands of Adventure baseball cap. I wear it almost everyday. I'm actually going to have to get a new one the next time I go. It got wet on Popeye & Bluto's Bilge Rat Barges and now it has wrinkles all over it. But I still love it.

My IOA and Universal Pins...I am NOT a pin collector and trader but I did buy souvenir pins of my favorite parks from both Universal and Disney and I have them on my heat set bag at work...I can see them everyday right there with me at my desk, so Orlando is always with me...

I have a few favorites...from IOA it's definately the soundtrack CD followed by the two-toned duelling dragons shirt and the 1999 Grand Opening t-shirt. I also like the gift pack they gave out to annual pass purchasers a couple years ago...it included a sampler soundtrack CD, a disposable IOA camera and a lenticular photo card of IOA which changes depending on the viewing angle. Mine is still sealed!
From Universal Studios I like the photo my kids had taken with Shrek a couple weeks ago. His head looked a little too small, but he was still pretty cool! The little 'pet tornados' they sell over by twister are cool too!

My favorite is a large thermal Spiderman mug. I use it every single day and carry it everywhere with me. It is always filled with Diet Dr. Pepper. As a matter of fact, I use it so much that the design around the handle has worn off where my hand goes thru. I'll have to get a new one when we are there next year.

My kids bought this gold-tinted edible fossil with 'bug' in it (just like in the movie) from JP gift shop. They think this is way cool. They bought home several for souvenirs for their friends and oh my gosh, it was the biggest hit! Go figure! YUCH!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to eat one because Molokai Gram rode the Hulk. I don't know what I have to eat to get her on Millenium Force at Cedar Point. :bounce:

My favorite souveniers are, of course my soundtrack(I listen to that thing all the time), my spiderman t-shirts, and my M.I.B neuralizer that I bought at the ride. Although that one almost didn't make it home. I played with it the entire three hour wait we had for Spiderman. For those that don't know what it is, it is basically a very bright, red flashing light. I "neuralized" my girlfriend about a thousand times. I flashed everyone in line with it. My girlfriend took it away from me finally though after she asked if my eyes would light up if she shoved it up my you know what. No more flashy thing after that. I'm 21 mind you.
Also I really love this statuette I bought at Deuling Dragons. It's the fire dragon curled up on a rock, ready to strike. There isn't a day that goes by, that I don't stare at that thing and think about my trip.

I got a Spiderman t-shirt from fellow mod RhondaS which I get LOTS of comments on when I wear it to IOA! They don't sell it at the park either.
I also love my ride pictures, one of my favorites is one we took on MIB with Dan Murphy, Rhonda, her two kids and my son. It was WAY cool because it PROVED that I had the highest score! :bounce: WHAT were the chances of THAT???
BTW, Barry was in the car behind us with half a million points! THAT's why I didn't ride with HIM... :rolleye:

I would have bought Robin's MiB photo too because it would be funny to see her "high scores." :)

I used Napster and burned the entire soundtrack for IOA, so that's a good (illegal) way to get it. My favorite souvenir from IOA is one of those glow necklaces. Me and 4 friends of mine made a group in IOA called the SUPERFRIENDS! and we commemorated this by all buying glow necklaces. And in USF I bought a Nickelodeon water bottle which I still have that's really cool, and I stole the 3d glasses from T2-3D, those are up on my counter in my room(Yes I have a counter, my bedroom is a converted kitchen. I have a dishwasher too).

Aloha,
My favorite souvenirs:
#1 -3 Souvenir video tapes of IOA, Universal Studios Florida (and also have the Universal Studios Hollywood) - not the free ones.
#4 IOA CD
#5 Souvenir picture of DGS on bike with ET (we took it right after the ride which he came off absolutely convinced that ET was real. He told every passerby that "ET said my name - he knows me!". You can see the wonder of it all in his expression in the picture!)
#6 Barry's video of the Mardi Gras parade
#7- 12 Souvenir pictures of DH and me (and Barry and h2ojag and family in some) from Kong,Jurrassic Park, MIB and Hulk.
#13 Universal Escape stainless coffee mug
#14 Caramel apples from the Fudge Shoppe (on your left as you enter Universal park)...this is actually my very favorite souvenir and I am very greedy. I do not share mine with anyone, including grandchildren or DH. ;) It is always the last thing I buy in the park and I always bring at least 3 home to eat s-l-o-w-l-y all by myself. (Much better than the bug lollipop I made Barry eat! )
DH favorite was his Mardi Gras beads...he had at least 100!
DGS love the souvenir videos and the monster key chains. They loved the monsters. On our March trip we bought and brought back for them the Universal's Monsters video pack - the old monster movies. They watch them every weekend (except 5 year old won't take a bubble bath after he sees Creature of the Black Lagoon until I check under the bubbles for him LOL) They are already talking about being Universal Monsters for Halloween - Frankenstein and Wolfman. We got the masks on from the Universal online store.
There is a souvenir I wish I had bought when I saw it, it was a small ball that made noise and lit up when bounced. It would be fun to play with the grandchildren at night as a last game before going in. Maybe next time!
Now you can see why I bring an extra suitcase!

Small stuff here. I love the my old USF pewter key chain. I still have it from my 1993 trip as well as my new MIB keychain. Love the look of this key ring. :)
