When my wife asked me where I wanted to eat Father's Day lunch I said, "How about Downtown Disney?" She then said why not just go over Saturday and spend the night. I said great! We drove over Saturday am. We had lunch at McDonald's near the All Star Resorts @ 11:30am and then drove to Downtown Disney for a little while, basically waiting to check in. At around 1:30pm we checked in to the All Star Music and were given a great room in the Jazz Inn, bldg 2. The cast member was great, letting us in early and finding a non-smoking room. We spent the afternoon between the two pools and a long nap for me! We had a lite dinner at the food court and an early bedtime. We woke up Sunday morning and had a great breakfast, again at the food court, returned to our room, packed up, and took the bus to EPCOT. My son (5) and I got Fast Passes to Test Track and then my family and I went to lunch at Akershus in Norway. Lunch was great and our waitress was superb. We rode Test Track and Body Wars after lunch, stopped at the Pin Trading station, and then walked right onto Spaceship Earth. We stopped at the phone booths that have cool sound affects to call my father and my father in law before leaving to head home. What a great Father's Day.
Also, the best thing is that we are going back next weekend for an 8 day trip!!!! I can't wait!:cool:
