I just started WW last week and already I have lost 5 poounds (YEAH). I am running into a problem though because I work the midnight shift.
Here is my problem.....
Wednesday I work 7pm-7am, but I have to get up at 8am Wednesday morning to watch my kids so that means that I am essentially up for 24 hours. When I get home Thursday morning I go right to bed until I about 2pm. I have to be back into work at 7pm and do the whole night over again.
Where I run into trouble is making my points last for those 24 hours. I am good up until about 1 am and then hunger strikes.
Right now I am allowed up to 27 points.
I need help!!!!!!! Am I doing things the right way? I mean should I make my point range higher for my 24 hour day or keep it the same.
Thanks!

I would look at your 0 -1 point options, and try to add some of those in for snacks. Get some snack sized ziplock bags, and pre-bag different kinds of veggies so you can grab and go or take them with you. Maybe you can look at your meals, and eat four smaller meals instead of three meals. If you are up for 24 hours, I would try to make some sort of meal chart where I had something to eat every 3 hours or so...
IE:
6:00 pm - dinner 1
9:00 pm - snack (veggies?)
12:00 am - dinner 2
3:00 am - snack (WW bar?)
6:00 am - snack (fruit/cheese?)
9:00 am - breakfast w/ kids
12:00 pm - lunch
3:00 pm - snack (veggies?)
6:00 - dinner
Good luck figuring out what works best for you!

Here's my idea:
You could use some flex points (or activity points) on your 24 hr day....you need some quality nutrients, probably some extra protien, to keep you going and alert. I'd be especially careful not to 'spend' any points that day in the dessert/sweets/empty calories catagory....use them on 'real' food.

How would starting your day at 5, 6 or 7pm each day be? I know there are many people that do this. You can find information on this on the WW's boards.
You start your day at 5 for instance, and your day goes till 5am the next day. So if you are waking at 8am on Wed, you would still be using points from the night before. You get to eat dinner with a new set of points on Tuesday night, go all day Wed till 5pm, then you reset. From Wed night at 5pm, till Tuesday night at 5pm is one day.
If you need more of an explanation, let me know and I can dig on WW's or Dotti's for more info.
Maybe this might work. The others mentioned some good ideas that could easily work as well. Learn to eat more food that is less points. More veggies and filling items. Drink tons of water and plan your Wed and Thursday so you know exactly what you are eating. Try eating smaller meals more often to keep yourself constantly filled, but limiting the points so they last.

MelanieC ..... I actually like your suggestion the best. That's a great idea and more suited for me. I did survive last night (I had another 24 hour day) on 25 points. It's now 1pm and I just got up and I am anxious to eat something.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think I am going to incorporate them all.
