View Full Version : Is your weight loss wacky?
I know its not the scale. We just bought a really nice one and my husband's weight is not wacky. Mine is. We're following WW and exercising 30 - 40 minutes a day, 5 days per week, minimum. For 12 days I didn't lose a single pound. At one point my weight actually went up (but it was my time of the month). Now I've dropped nearly 4 pounds in 3 days!! Not that I'm complaining, but how wacky is that?!?

Yeap, it happens to me a lot. Try not to weight yourself everyday because it can be discouraging (or at least it is to me). Maybe PMS had something to do on those days where you didn't lost weight.
One thing I noticed is that men lose weight faster and more regularly than women.
Look at it this way, you got 4 less pounds than you did when you started... What I do when I fell like I lost less than I would have wanted, is to go to the kitchen and weight a bag of flour for the amount I lost (2.5lb last week), when you grab the bag, you get to see that is not bad at all.

That's howI lose weight, too. The weight just stays the same for weeks, then whooooshes off. Since I know that is my pattern, I don't brood about it. I weigh twice a day, but I know I shouldn't! :) Oh, well, can't be perfect at EVERYTHING.

My weight loss is wacky too. I go for about two weeks maintaining, and then lose a couple of pounds the next week.
I'm a slow loser, but now know not to get discouraged. Keep at it and the weight will eventually come off.
Thanks everyone. Now I know I'm not alone! :D

I have written about this before, because, I too, lose weight in bulk (thats what I call it). Besides my scale which I believe is not acurate, I use the scale at the gym. There is only one there and it is an Official one ( like a Dr. office) Anyway I began writing my weight down on my calender and began to notice a pattern. I wouldn't lose all week, and then BAM......... friday I am down 3 or 4 pounds. Like you not complaining but just couldn't explain it. I think we just all lose differently, almost like my body takes time to catch up with weight loss.
Good luck

Me too!! :wave2: I will lose something about every third week. The other 2 weeks, I maintain or lose a very small amount. Or even have a small gain. :scared1: Thanks for asking the question, Tina. I'm glad to know I'm not alone. :D

I usually try to only weigh once a week because I get frustrated really easily!
