The subtitle of this post will be "A Midwestern Meat and Potato Eating Couple's Guide to Dining at The Happiest Place on Earth"
Crystal Palace:
The heavens opened up and a ray of light shone down onto a small part of the Magic Kingdom. A heavenly voice boomed out, "I shall give you Cinnamon French Toast Puffs"...and the people rejoiced.
This is how good these are, it is beyond words, I have even made up a song regaling my love for them...but I'll not get into that now.
Other good eats are the made to order omelets, the various breads, the fritatta, and the croissants.
The service here was great. The character interaction was top notch. We originally had only one meal planned here, but went a second time...it was that good.
Thumbs up all around.
Casey's Corner:
Those who have gone before us know how good this is, those who have not yet tasted the tummy pleasing fare here must do so...soon. This place deserves another thumbs up.
Liberty Tree Tavern:
I loved the food here, as the subtitle of the post says, we are a meat and potato eating couple, and we were pleased, until dessert. We were seated at a two person table near the window looking out at the door to the Christmas store in Liberty Square (very romantic), and it seemed a little darker than the rest of the room. When our dessert was served, my wife looked at it with a big smile, until I asked what it was.
"Blueberry Cobbler" John, our server, replied.
When he walked away my wife made the following statement...
"Gee, I thought it was chocolate. Thinking you're going to get chocolate, and getting fruit is like a kick in the stomach and a slap in the face"
I could only dismiss her with one of my patented "Can't-talk-...eating" grunts. I even licked the serving spoon. YUMMY!
Two thumbs up for great service and great food, even if the dessert wasn't chocolate. The rolls were mouth watering as well.
Pop Century Food Court:
Many requests to spill the beans about the food here, so I will try not to disappoint you all.
Most of our meals here were breakfast items. The adult breakfast platter had enough food on it to share between me and my wife, but she got the Pop Century Waffle so I had to eat it by myself...gee darn. The only not great thing on there was the sausage, it had a not so pork sausage taste to it. My wife loved the Waffle though. The rest of my breakfast Platter was good.
Other meals here included the ham and cheese omelette, very good; the individual Pepperoni Pizza was tasty and the crust was awesome(!); the Ham and Cheese baquette sandwich was very good, although I like hot sandwiches and nuked mine for 30 seconds; my wife did not like the cheeseburger at all, and I had to agree after sampling it. The muffins are a little pricey for muffins, but they were fresh and yummy, although my chocolate loving wife turned her nose up to the chocolate chip ones, preferring banana walnut muffins instead. The croissants were good sized and fresh. My wife loved the Mom's Night out Fried Chicken dinner with the exception of the green beans, they put too much chopped onions in it for her taste. I am a cheescake lover, but I found that the Tie Dyed cheescake was not to my liking.
Get the refill mugs, people, they are worth it!
This was my limited experience to the Everything Pop Food Court at Pop Century. The theming is fun and bright and kitchy...a really cool food court IMHO.
This is it for part one as my taste buds are starting to feel tortured for reliving our dining experiences. I will return soon with Part Two: "Going International and Hooping it Up"
