The food at the San Angel Inn at the Epcot pavillion has been good though not great. I will admit that I did not try the more authentic/upscale dishes but I liked my food well enough. The Cantina de San Angel across the walkway from the pavillion as well as the food court at Coronado Springs resort has a great wet burrito. El Pirata Y el Perico has fast Mexican food. There don't seem to be any other Mexican food places on the property.

I dont know if this is what you are looking for but I thought the nachos at ESPN were delicious. I ended up getting them twice on our last trip. ;)

If you have a car ride over to the Crossroads and go to Chevy's. Big portions and good prices.

Magicprincess,
We just keep bumping into one another dont we? We must have all the same interests! I LOVED the food at both San Angel Inn and the Cantina. I would qualify it more as Tex-Mex though. Tangy as opposed to really spicy. Now if I can only convince my DD5...
Do they have a kids menu (non mex.) at the counter service?
We may have to McBag it, then hike back to Mexico.

If memory serves, DD has chicken fingers and refried beans. DS had a chicken quesidilla. Both enjoyed it. The atmosphere alone makes it worth going.:Pinkbounc

I agree. We rarely eat offsite even though we have a car but we do make it a point to go to Chevy's. It gives the wallet a break and the food, service, and margaritas are great! Onsite for Mexican we like the Cantina, have never tried El Pirata y el Perico since it seems to be closed a lot when we're there, and love the atmosphere of the San Angel Inn but for the $$ the food is a bit blah for us and service just so so. We're more Tex-Mex folks though and like our Mexican food to be cheesy, saucy, etc. I had the tacos al carbon and they were just very plain and rather skimpy actually compared to what we get at home. Different strokes for different folks however!

MP,
 I meant go up to the McDonalds kiosk (Canada I think?) bring it back to the Cantina so I can get my yummys while my DD eats hers.

I've eaten at the San Angel Inn several times and have always had great food and good service. I had the more authentic foods and they seemed to be very authentic and tasty. My DH and his father tried the more Tex Mex part of the menu and were pleased, but not not jumping for joy, although they don't jump for joy ever for ethnic foods. The ambience is just wonderful though and kids usually love watching the boats go by, or in my case, sleep thru lunch because it is dark and quiet and cool there. I had a nice leisurely lunch while my baby napped. Even if you don't eat there, definitely check it out.

I grew up 12 miles from the Baja border in the desert of California, so I am always looking for Mexican food like that. I understand Mexican food can be different and regional depending what part of Mexico you try.
Sooooo. the Mexican food at WDW does not live up to my too high standards. (Though I will eat any kind....Taco Bell here I come):o
My dream is to find again that shack in the middle of a field, Comachos, where I ate Mexican food as a child!!!
Anyway I went off on a tangent....... Mexican food is good at WDW, unless you were raised on it.
Thanks

My kids wont go near Mexican food...they barely go near any food. We got them pizza from one of the fast food places(DH got it so Im not sure where), and brought it to the Cantina, while myslef DH & my mother got Mexican. We liked it but it wasnt the greatest. The nachos had that processed cheese sauce on them, not real cheese and that is a huge thing for me. ;)

If y'all want incredible, real Mexican food, check out Taquitos Jalisco in Winter Garden. It's kind of a haul from WDW, but the food is 100% worth it, and I'm super, super picky about my Mexican food.
If anyone's interested, I'll try and find my book with the address. I could drive it in my sleep while I was on the College Program, but probably not anymore! I know it's on 50th and Dillard, in a hole-in-the-wall strip mall. The Camarones al Mojo en Ajo are amazing, so is their mole.

Another vote for Chevy's at the Crossroads.
The food is very good and it is reasonably priced.
