I have the Dooney and Bourke version (no its not a fake, its a real D&B that just resembles the Louis V.) I get a lot of complements on it, and it's really cute. It's not TOO much like the Louis V. but I love it, and it cost a LOT less....so that's a plus

It's small, but it works :)
ANYWAYS, that was sooo OT, sorry!
Fav. designers would be:
Vera Wang-Her wedding dresses are AMAZING
I have to agree with the Louis V.
And I know it's not really a designer, but the design team that is Juicy Couture is fabulous.

I used to be like that too, but in many cases (not all) designer clothes are made a lot better, and with nicer fabrics, than clothes from department stores, etc...
I still refuse to pay $100 for a tank top from D&G, but I will buy nice clothes without going too extreme.
I do, however, HATE when designer clothes have their names sprawled across the front. I don't want to advertise for the designer.

When I was in Charleston, SC there were a lot of upscale stores that aren't in Milwaukee and that I had never been in before (Bebe, Gucci, Saks 5th Ave, J Crew, Cache) and I could not believe how expensive they all were!!! I tried on a pair of jeans at Saks that were $150!!! I mean, Holy Cow!!!! That's insane!!! Well, they fit perfectly, but still. And Gucci....lets just say I was in there for like 2 minutes, tops!

If that kills you, forget it, stay FAAAR away from The Mall at Short Hills in New Jersey...dear lord...I go there for fun and to pretend I can actually afford their stuff...LOL But they have a Bloomingdales, Saks, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Armani, Burberry, D&G, the list goes onnn and onnn...The prices in there are INSANE.
I fell in love with a $200 Burberry bikini, and hundred of other way over the top clothes. Manolo Blahniks? Don't even look at HALF the price tag...It's scary how much money people spend on clothes...But I guess if you've got it, why not? (although I'd much rather wear clothes from nice stores like Express and give to charity)
