How much do the photos in the park cost, the ones that they sell in front of the castle, on Splash Mt., Tower of Terror, etc? Any recommendations for which ones to purchase?

Here is the answer to the ride ones, I took it from Deb's site. I'll have to try and find my receipt for our one in front of the castle, I know you can get packages for a pretty reasonable price. ~:D~

Thanks! This makes it's easier to budget. The prices aren't as bad as I thought they might be.

a few nice things about these photo's :D
1- if your staying on property, they'll deliver them to your hotel :p
2- most even have themed frames for an additional fee
:earsboy:
3- you only buy them if you really like them ;)
4- even your designated family picture taker finally gets into
a picture :smooth: :bounce:
I find that these are usually the pictures that get displayed at home
ENJOY!!!

My DH and I wanted a really good picture in front of the castle at MK for our 10th anniversary, so when we arrived at the park we went to the first photographer and she took two pictures, then walked down a bit farther and had another set taken with a different photographer. This way we had 4 to choose from and were able to get one in which we both looked good!! Since you have to wait at least 90 min to view we didn;t want to go for a re-take if we didn't like them. They were also able to insert text on the top of the photo which said "our 10th Anniversary" We love it!!

Tink 98, do you rember how much the photos were? Are all these photographers employed by Disney, or would they be contractors, therefore possibly have different prices?

Is there a limit to how many pics someone can take of you?
I'll be proposing to my girlfriend at the main street rose garden in 23 days and wanted to have as many pics as possible (of course i'll let the photographer know ahead of time what i'll be doing, and that I'll buy every picture he takes).

I think for one picture from Epcot was around $15-20 I think.

We usually buy one Family Picture on Main Street every year. We have all the rest taken but we also have the photographer take the same picture with our camera. That way, we have the "official" picture plus all the others with everyone in them for only the cost of film and developing.
*** By the way, we were told by a very nice cast member and also by a supervisor at the Magic Kingdom, that it is Official Disney World policy that all employees MUST take pictures of guests with the guests camera if asked to do so***
The supervisor told us a story of a family asking a man with a name badge on to take their picture , so the man did and only after he left did another worker tell the family that the man who took the picture was the Vice President of Walt Disney Attractions just walking through the park.

Are there photographers always around when characters are out?
Where are the professionals usually located? For instance if I found one of my favorite characters and wanted a picture done would it be easy to find a pro to take our picture?
thanks

crz4mm2: thanks! luckily i know she'll say yes, so that take a little pressure off
splash matt: you can get a pic w/ sorcer mickey in MGM by the WWTBAM studio (about 150 paces toward the back)
Pooh and tiger can be found w/ a professional photographer in the UK pavillion of EPCOT
But by far, the best place to get a professional photo w/ a character is at the judge's tent in toontown. mickey is always there, but there are all sorts of characters that rotate there. just walk in the tent and you'll see some huge signs to your right about who's in the ten and if there's noone you're looking for, just ask the CM and i'm sure they'll know who's there later in the day.
