I watched this when it first aired last Sunday night. It was pretty interesting. They will be reairing it today at 5:00pm for anyone who's interested.
One question though, they listed one of the top snacks of low carb dieters as pork skins/rinds....is this true??
Wasn't in the Atkins book but I checked at the store and they do have 0 carbs, and the only ingredients are pork skin and salt.

yup, that is one of the things we snack on in our house. I don't care for the original, so we buy the bbq. NOT the spicy hot bbq... nearly burned my mouth off when I tried those!:faint:

Thanks!....that's Great!
I've really been missing something I could just grab a handful and eat. Especially when we're watching a movie and the kids are eating popcorn.

I spent most of my life BALKING about pork skins and my boss, who's been doing Atkins since summer told me they were her number one snack!
Well, I used to LOVE them when I was a kid so this is a good thing to me!
My sister told me about the show on the Food Network. I have to check it out.

OMG, Brier Rose!
This was the show I watched Sunday that CONVINCED me it was time to jump on the bandwagon!! Everything on it answered all the misconceptions and questions I had. It was a great show and the chef and his family's story was the clincher!

Here's a link to his bio....http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/hosts_celebrity_chefs/article/0,,FOOD_9889_2543383,00.html Note on his bio he is a chef at the Grand Floridian!
He went on the diet with his whole family, like I'm doing. I liked his recipe for spaghetti squash also.
The show covered the entire low carb lifestyle, including Atkins and the South Beach diet. Very interesting stories.
