View Full Version : Spirit of Aloha!
Hello everyone,
Anticipating an upcoming visit to the world, I booked this dinner show. We have never done this before.
Does anyone have any info on this they can share?
Thanks a bunch,
Lisa

We went to the show when we were there in June. The dinner and show are off in their own little covered pavillion near the water. It's an open air stage so they might cancel in bad weather. The food is served family style at the table. There's ribs, chicken, rice and veggies and a yummy dessert called a volcano. The show is pretty good... lots of dancing and singing and twirling fire batons. The actress who played Aunty Wini was very good. My 11yr old enjoyed it and wants to go again when we go back in November. There were a lot of little girls in the audience who were really getting into the hula dancing. They were adorable to watch. It isn't a character meal though. I kept expecting Lilo and Stitch to show up.
I believe the show and dinner cost around $45-50 for adults and about half that for kids. You definately want to get PS as early as possible or you could end up sitting far away from the stage.
I thought is was a very enjoyable evening.
Enjoy your trip. :sunny:
Thanks so much Lorien....
I actually have a PS but almost cancelled it because my DD said it isn't something she would be interested in. She claims she'd rather be in the pool? Go figure!
But we are secretly planning (pending her parents approval) her BF to come with us and I think together it may be something they would enjoy.
Thanks for the information!
Lisa

I think that this is the biggest waste of money at WDW. The food is just ok, but the show is really poor. The actual dancing is great, but the story that surrounds it is like a bad after school special. Tedious is a good word to describe it. The old show was much better. This was a yearly tradition for us, but with the changes, I do not think I will be returning. Plus, it was about 1/2 hour longer than the previous show, thereby ending after the fireworks at the magic kingdom...no view from the poly beach any more.
