Does anyone know how much the face painting cost that is at the entrance to ToonTown in MK? My DD wanted to do this so bad last time, and we just ran out of time. I thought I would do it first thing in the morning on our upcoming trip. How long does it take for them to do it also?

November 2001 my nephew and I traveled with a friend and her son and daughter. While my friend was at a medical conference, I took the 3 kids to MK. Colleen HAD to have a butterfly. I can't remember exactly how much it cost, I want to say like $25, not sure, but I do remember thinking at the time that it was a little pricey. I probably wouldn't have done it but she wanted it soooo badly. You know how that goes. Anyway it turned out to be one of the dearest memories I have of that trip. All day people commented on her butterfly. She was so pleased. She spent the whole day making sure that her butterfly stayed straight. She was determined to show her Mom that evening. The next morning she ran to me and hugged me and told me that when she woke up she had "butterfly on her pillow." That was worth the $25.
As I recall there were a couple of people in line ahead of us and it took about 30 minutes all together. But it's right there by Toontown so I let the boys ride the Barnstormer while we waited and everyone was happy. :sunny:

Yikes, that is pricey - but Grandma will be with us, so you know what will happen. Just kidding! (kinda!) We've got Season Passes, which we will more than get our money out of this year, so I guess I can't complain. They really do a beautiful job from the ones I've seen around the park. Thanks!

We were there in Dec with our grandson and I believe the price was about $8.00- $12.00. It took about 10 minutes. Price was determined by which face painting was chosen.

Yes, fmed845 is correct!
When we were there I decidied to get my face painted (it was a spur of the moment thing!) and I also got the butterfly- It was $12 and it was amazing! I felt like a princess all day- people stopped me more than once to say how pretty I looked and I got disney characters pointing and doing a thumbs up! I felt very special, if a bit embarassed... :p

I had promised her on our next Jan visit we could do this and she loved it. Even little toddlers and babies are amazed by it. We were Sea Princesses. However we when went over to MGM later that day the security guard must have been new because he said he had never seen one before. They also do them at AK and at MCM near the Star Tours ride

The prices are $8-14, I believe. They are absolutely gorgeous! Just be aware though.... We waited in line 20 minutes or so, and once we went to sit down my 2yo dd said, 'no,no,no....'. The cm's said, "We can't do it if they cry or say no." WHAT?! My dd just learned to say "NO" 2 days before, and that was ALL she was saying during our vacation!! I was not a happy camper...

My DD3 and DD4 (at the time) got them at AK for around $15 each. One got the butterfly and one got the unicorn. The are out of this world gorgeous! I dont think either one of them breathed the entire 10 min. it took to do them! They only downfall is that they had pretty much melted away in the humidity by the time we left the park.:(

Don't know where I got that $25 idea from - glad it's more reasonable. They really do a great job with them though. It wasn't some little butterfly painted on one cheek. It covered her whole face and had glitter and sparkly things in it. Don't know how old your daughter is but I know one 7 yr old little girl who was thrilled with hers. ::yes::

WOOO HOOOO!!!! We are leaving in two days and since the weather is looking a bit cooler, I think I'll let my girls do this. We saw some people with them last time we went and I loved them! And they dont seem too expensive either. My girls have had a chart up for the past couple months to earn check marks and for every 100 checkmarks, they get to pick something they want from Disney World. The first 100 marks are going for hair wraps for each girl. and the 2nd 100 marks was going to be for those mister fans, but I already bought those as a surprise so they wont need them. Guess we can do the face painting in place of that! YAY!!! Who knows, maybe I will do it too. If you see me and my two girls, 6 and 3, walking through the parks next week with our faces painted and my husband silently walking beside us embarrassed say HI!!
