Good morning everyone!
I haven't had a weigh-in, cause my weigh-in day is on Thursday but I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be REALLY up. I was down going into the holidays. I was at about 184, and I want to be 187 or so, so I left myself some room to gain, but I think I was too comfortable with that idea! :)
I'm trying to get back on plan, but boy is it hard!
So how is everyone else doing??

Dan, good luck getting back on the program! I know you can do it - you've come so far already. Even if you gain a little extra, you know exactly what to do to make it disappear quickly. You'll get the hang of maintenance - it takes practice and a bit of trial and error. :D
I was 131 last Sunday and am at 130 today. I've started training for the 2005 WDW half marathon and I'm afraid I'm going to be adding muscle so the scale won't move. I'll be looking more at my measurements for lost inches to see if I'm on the right track.

I haven't checked in for awhile...only because I've been busy, had surgery right before Christmas, and haven't been moving the scale a whole lot lately!
But, I am down 2 since the last time I checked in...I'm now down to 167...15-17 more pounds to go!
Also, waiting for surgeons clearance to begin training for the Indy Mini Marathon in May and the Disney half in Jan '05!
Have a great week!

things are good here, no weigh in until thursday, but seems to me my pants a big looser? Could this happen on 4 days of Atkins, who knows, but it's all good, I'm in ketosis, DH is not yet, but that reminds me he didnt check today..he just may be.
Haven't cheated yet, going to go now and change my clippie to 3 days cheat free. I'll post in Thursday what the weight and measurements come out to after 7 days of induction.

My goals aren't based on weight (and since I avoid scales like the plague, I have no idea what I weigh), but I will check-in saying that I completed the first week of the "Couch to 5K Training Program". :)
Haven't been eating as well as I'd like, but that will be my second goal this week...

I maintained again last week. We ate out New Year's Eve, and babysat the grandchildren all week and ate out a lot with them. I missed quite a bit of water and my routine was all messed up. So I guess I did all right by maintaining.
DH and I have had a touch of the flu or something the last few days. Sore throats, cough, etc. But I hope to be back to normal by tomorrow.

Hi Gang.......just got back on the Atkins wagon yesterday after being off for a few months and I gained back about 8 pounds.
I lost 3.5lbs. yesterday so I know I am off to a good start so now I am only over my all time low by 4.5lbs. I know I can get back there by the end of the week.....I would love to hear how everyone else is doing....
My disney Beau is counting calories and started yesterday as well....he is gradually working his way to lower calories every week but he started not too much higher than what I thought he should be at yesterday and he lost 1.5lbs yesterday after being off his plan a few months as well and he had gained about 10 pounds...... so we both have some ground to cover.
So we are both on our way folks.......I would like to lose somewhere between 30-35 more. I will have to decide that once I get closer....
I think my first 30 pound weight loss took off the puffiness and swolleness that I had gotten and I am hoping the next 30 gets me to thin again.....Good luck to everyone and I will keep you all posted!!!!!!
Have A Disney Day!!!!!princess:

I'm down 1.4 for the week. I was SHOCKED when I stepped on the scale this morning because I've been UP 3 lbs the whole week. I'll take that 1.4 especially after all my cheating on NYE! :teeth: Now it's time to get serious and get rid of these pounds!! My resolution for this week is to drink more water. I had been doing very well at drinking 7-8 16 oz bottles a day but the past couple weeks I've been barely getting in 4 bottles. This week I'm going to get back into that 7-8 routine I know that helps with my weight loss. Onward and downward my WISH friends - Have a great week! :)

I've been rather unmotivated for the past couple of weeks, so I was surprised to see a 2 pound loss since my last weigh in (which I think was 2 weeks ago but I don't remember). My total loss to date is 64, 53 of it on WISH. :)
I'm just 2 pounds from Onederland!!!

01-04-2004, 01:23 PM
That's awesome, Jen! Getting to ONEderland will really help that motivation. :)
I'm down 2.6 lbs this week. Just 1.3 more until my 50 lb clippie. I can't wait for that one. I'll be at my official half way mark then. :D

I was at my lowest on New Year's Day, but have indulged since then (even had chinese! oh the sodium!) and haven't checked since. However, I will weigh in (and be honest;) ) on Wednesday morning, and post then.

Hey Everyone!
Well I'm back on the Lo-carb wagon and boy does it feel good. This is my second day and I can tell I haven't had as many blood sugar swings already. (So why do I go off plan?.....it only makes me feel horrible  )
But I do feel the headache! At least I know I'm doing something right since I have that reaction. Just took 2 tylenol .......should be over soon.
As far as I can tell I'm up like 12 pounds!!Yikes! But I'm not discouraged. I feel like I've had a big slap in the face and I needed it! Nothing like facing reality. I hope to report good news next week.
Good job to everyone!

I weighed in officially on Saturday, a day short of my last weigh in and was down 1.2 pounds. Weighed at home today and was down another 1. But, officially, it's only 1.2 pounds. I was hoping for a little more on my first week of full-fledged WW, but I'll take what I can get.
Have a great week!

I am checking in a day early, since I don't think a day will make that much of a difference. I am up 3.5 lbs. this week and up a total of 5.4 from my all time low on 12/15. I knew I was bad for the holidays and today I am back in the saddle!
I am giving myself a week and then I will adjust my clippie to whatever my weigh in is next week.

I'm down 1 lb. this week and up only .5 lb from my all time low since I started. I'm at the same weight as I started December with as the month was up one week and down the next. Not bad considering the holidays and all.
Now that I've got that behind my I'm going to get back on track! I hope to start doing my WATP tapes again. The past couple of weeks I've been working later and haven't had the energy when I get home. Hopefullly I can push myself to do it because I know I'll feel better when I do.
So here's to all my WISH friends. A new week, a new year, a new you!

I maintained this week, 191 pounds for the second week in a row... but I was a bad girl for new year's, so I should be happy I didn't gained weight.
I'm back on track, so, get ready one 5 pound clippie for me!! ;)

I'm up 1 lb. today!:( Not bad considering I maintained through the rest of the holidays, but the scale is not supposed to be going up!:bounce:
Anyhow, I was very good yesterday, did lots of walking, so hopefully I'm off to a good start this week. I really need to push myself to get the exercise in this week. I'm counting on that to give me the jump start I need!

Happy New Year Everyone,
Well, I've decided to start checking in again. My surgery is done and Christmas is over so I need to start paying closer attention once again. I am happy to say that I have stayed the same and not gained. I did go up and down two or three pounds over the past few months but that is just normal body chemistry.
I find that I really need to check in in order to stop myself from saying "I'll start again tomorrow".
I hope that the New Year finds everyone healthy and ready to go.
Have a super day!!

I went up 1 pound, I was a bit bad this weekend, my daughter and I went out for breakfast on Saturday, and it was a buffet. I stayed away from the bread, but had some potatoes and grits, bad, bad bad. Well I got right back on track on Sunday, but that extra pound was still there this morning. By tomorrow it will be gone, but too late for my offical weigh in day.

Hi everyone!
I didn't get to weigh in last week because I was sick. So for this week and last week I lost 3.5 pounds. I also grabbed my 15 pound clippie. Total I've lost 25 pounds (16 on WISH). Now that the holidays are over it will hopefully be much easier to stick op. I have seven weeks till my family goes on our first disney cruise. I'm hoping to lose another 5 pounds by then. I'm setting my mini goal a little low because I know I have a busy schedule for the next seven weeks. Well good luck to everyone this week! :sunny:

I'm up another 2.5 pounds this week ... but hey, when I weighed myself Jan 1st, I was up 5 lbs so I was pretty happy to see a little lower number ;) This puts me up a total of 3.5 lbs from my lowest, so ridding my body of this excess is my first goal.
Congrats to everyone. Glad to see some people back. I know for myself, I just took my journal out of my bag and I have officially starting counting my points again.
WISHing everyone a happy, healthy New Year! :grouphug:

Well it seems that since I got that 50lb clippiee about a month ago my weight loss has stalled. Now that the holidays are over and I won't be working at the mall every free second I have I can get back to eating right and exercising again. It has been months since I last exercised - although lifting all those boxes at work hasn't let my muscle turn to flab. I'm holding steady at 177 even though I'm sure it went up and down over the past few weeks but I just never checked the scale. I've set a few new goals for the new year - 3 days/week of exercise and I want to get to 170 for Valentine's Day. Besides, 50 lbs in a little over 6 months is pretty darn good. Now if I could just get that film developed I could share some before and during pics.
Keep up the great work everyone - it's a new year and we all can reach our goals.

Good morning. Now that the holidays are over and Aunt Flo, I've decided to make monday moring my official weigh in day of the week. This week finds me at 290, which is where is was upon ariving home from Christmas at my parents' condo for a few days. I still followed my exercise program pretty well while away, and even while DH finished out his Christmas vacation. Tis the soda and munchies that got me.
But now, I'm back on my water regimen, and i have a latch hook kit that keeps my mind from wandering down the munchie corridor. So, with luck the lbs will soon be flying off.
Have a great week everybody

Happy New Year!
I'm up 4 pounds since my last weigh in, but that has been over 2 weeks ago so I'm not going to get upset until my next monthly weigh in. Clothes still fit and I feel pretty good though the salty food of the holidays had given me a bit of bloat. I really thought I would maintain this holiday, but I will get over it and be right back on track once I get back to the gym.
Keep the Faith!

I did pretty good this week, I had a 2 pound loss. I am trying to pick it upa bit starting this week tho, and get back to a stricter carb count. I have been staying kinda low, but eating lots of fried foods. So, I may treat myself every once in a while, but back to a full scale induction for me!!!

I can't really say that I recommend it, but a sinus infection is a pretty effective weight loss trick. I've had a humdinger all week and I'm down 3.25 pounds. I've also been keeping my New Years resolution to exercise, I'm sure that helped me also. Whatever the reason, I was just glad to see 3 pounds gone!! :D
Hope everyone is having a happy and healthy new year! :D :D

Well as of this morning I am down 7 pounds!!! WOO-HOO! All that in only 5 days!!! Well actually what it said to me is that I have been really good at getting back OP (and exercising) and that those 12 pounds I gained over my 4 month break was probably a little misleading. I think a few pounds of my loss were really just some water weight, etc. left over from the previous week and I think that I probably put on a couple of those pounds just in the last few weeks over the holidays - otherwise it wouldn't be coming off so quickly.
I am thrilled with my results so far. :) I am actually about 1 pound lower than the plateau weight I was stuck at last August so that made me feel pretty good. Only 3 more pounds until I have earned back my 40 lb. clippie and I get to start working on that beautiful 45 lb'er. :hyper:

Hello, everyone.
It's been a while since I've posted much, but I think that I will try to change that. I can't post a lot, but I'm going to try for one a day. That, added with my (return to) journalling on Fitday (http://www.fitday.com) , and a return to regular WATP should help me get back on the losing track.:earsgirl:
I have stalled for a few months, but I am pleased to say that, except for maybe a pound or two, I have maintained. So. . . now that I have that under my belt, it is time to get in gear. ::yes::
I actually did manage to keep up with some of the exercise, (see the clippie!) but I want to do MORE, now. I'll need your help---I HATE getting up in the dark to WATP. It's so much cosier and warmer in bed. :p I think that I'll need an email poke or some pm's to check up on the exercising. (HINT)
And one of these days, I really will begin by losing the next 10 pounds and getting one of the pretty blue clippies under my name.
I'm glad to be back with all of you losers. You inspire me to keep trying! Thanks.

Hi and congrats to all who lost this week :)
My first weigh in in a while and I was expecting a gain, but instead I am claiming my 20 pound clippie. I am sticking with the plan and doing well so far. Dont know if I lost or just maintained since I havent weighed in since around Thanksgiving.
My goal is to be more consistent and exercise.
Thanks to all of you who are such a great inspiration.

After 4 months of falling off my exercise program (and as a consequence, slipping back into less healthy eating methods), I've picked back up again with the new year. I've done *some* form of exercise every night since the 2nd, and while I can tell I've lost a ton of strength due to lack of exercise due to those hives and the medicine, I also can tell that I can build it back up again with more exercise.
I'm also starting to try to drink more water again, and eat a little healthier when possible. Last night was a Subway sandwich for dinner rather than a can of spaghettios, so that's at least a start. At least I *think* the sandwich was healthier. LOL!
Once again, I'm not aiming for any specific weight loss, but rather for a healthier life-style and building my stamina through exercise. :)

2 more pounds gone this week, which means time for a new clippie! Hooray! I guess I really did lose weight over the holidays, despite my flaky scale. It's been a little hard getting back into the swing of things as far as eating is concerned, and it doesn't help that I've been home sick for a couple of days. Suddenly, everything around the house sounds like a good snack! Argh!
Exercise is going great, I've even exercised while home sick (I know, I'm crazy). I should hit 150 days of exercise on Thursday. I'm only 2 pounds away from my next 10% goal - hopefully I'll make it next week!
Have a great week, everyone - and hello and good luck to all the new WISHers! This is a great place for support, so stick around!

Well I expected to be up this week as I just got back from 8 days at WDW. I'm up 4 pounds. I really think it's only 1 or 2 pound gain. My fingers, feet and possible legs are swollen. A ring that fit before my trip I had to take off during because it was to tight and my shoes just kept getting tighter and tighter through out the stay. My wedding rings that are usually loose were tight so I think that most of my gain is water. I think the 5 hour flight home really made me retain water even though I was trying to drink on the flight as much as I could.
Pretty pround of myself about the food choices I made in WDW. There's not much there that is really healthy but I prefered water over soda and this is the first trip ever that I actually went for the fruit when I had the chance. Had planned to splurge on funnel cake, cotton candy, soft pretzels and ice cream. Ended up only splurging on a couple of Pretzels(ate one pretzel for lunch) and 3 shakes(split with DH). It really helped that I brought along snacks that were under 200 cal for in between meals.
Instead of having a big goal for the new year I have a couple of mini goals.
1- Onederland by March (as of today that's just 11 pounds)
2- Size 14 by my birthday in May(that way I can ask for new clothes)
To accoplish these I'm going to work on Exercising at least 3 times a week and eating better. Thought it was going to be hard to get back on track after WDW but already feeling back on track today.
Good luck to everyone

I lost 1 pound this week (was hoping for a bit more but I think the no sugar added ice cream and the popcorn did me in a bit). I have earned my beautiful new 20 pound clippie so that's a good thing.
I plan to cut out the extras and get back to the basics of the South Beach diet. I do like my whole grains so I'll still have oatmeal and my whole grain flakes for breakfasts but that's about it for the additional carbs.

Good to see so many familiar faces who haven't been around for a while! Welcome back!
Today is the 1 yr anniversary of my gall bladder surgery AND the start of my weight loss program. As I see it I'm half way to my goal. I started back on induction on 1/1, & so far I've not only halted any potential weight gain from the holidays, but as of this AM I've lost 2 more lbs for a total loss of 46 lbs. My WISH loss is now 40 lbs, so that means I get to start a new year with a new clippie! I know that without all of you out there on WISH to motivate & inspire me, I never would have made it through the past year, so a big THANK YOU to all of you for your support! :sunny:

I lost another 2lbs this week. That makes a total of 11lbs gone over the last 3 weeks, so I'm pretty excited about that. Now I'm just trying to keep up with my New Year resolution to do more toning exercise, so that when I do get to my goal weight my body will be somewhat toned.
Congratulations to all who have posted here and good luck with your goals for the coming year.

Well, I'm TRYIN to be good, but it doesn't help when DH buys me a very nice box of chocolates for xmas (a local authentic Swiss chocolatier -- to DIE for, I kid you not!) I had a few at xmas, but the remainders I am "gifting" to others to sharethe guilt. Let me just add...Watching my kids eat them is...well, painful! I tell them to slow down, enjoy the ride, but they eat 'em like they were Hershey kisses, and don't even come up for air! AUGHHH!
Anyhoooo, I'm back in the Zone after much too long a hiatus. I have made up a lot of my b'fasts and lunches and have 'em ready and waiting in the fridge. FOr me, the show stopper is time and convenience. It's too easy to grab whatever, and when that happens, it's not always the best choice. DH is probably not happy with the carb reduction at dinner (Zone allows some carbs, but not to the extent my atomic starch bomb hubby would prefer). Oh well, gotta be cruel to be kind.

Sorry for the late check-in, but the PC has been in the shop since last Tuesday. When I weighed myself Saturday, I had gained 2 lbs. I still was able to maintain my pre-holiday weight, and this week I have been on a 1,000 calorie a day diet to "re-commit" myself to the Deal-A-Meal plan. I should have a "whoosh" to report at the next check-in! :teeth:

Thursday is going to be my check in day, since I officially started New Year's Day.
I weighed in at 151.4 pounds, 2.6 pounds less that last week! My goal is 2 pounds a week, so I'm happy with that. I know that's a lot less than many people, but my diet plan (follow diabetic diet, with 45g c per meal max) doesn't give drastic losses (since that would be bad for diabetics!)
I think I've now defined my "exercise plan" as well. Plan is workout "rest" days on Monday and Wednesday. We have scouts (cub and girl) on those days, so fitting in a workout would be difficult. I'll count myself on plan if I work out Tuesday, Thursday and 2 of the 3 other days (Fri-Sun). Plan is WATP at least T, Th, and one of the weekend days with outdoor exercise as a possible exchange on the other weekend day(s).
So I'm one week cheat free, and one week exercise on plan! And 2 1/2 pounds lighter! Woo Hoo!
