I'd heard a rumor on the board awhile back that mentioned something about a rollercoaster possibly being built in the Canada pavillion of Epcot. While at the park on New Years Eve, my family and I noticed several tall cranes over the back area of the pavillion. Does anyone know the purpose of the cranes, or if there's a possibility that the long discussed roller coaster may be real?

What you saw are the cranes working on "Soaring over California" which is being built between JIYI and The Land.

Hey Dznefreek,
Thanks for clearing that up! The roller coaster rumor was quite awhile ago, something about having a mountain themed roller coaster to help spice up Epcot...

The cranes you saw "over Canada" are actually behind "The Land" and are working on the new "Soaring" ride being put into that Pavilion. I thought they might be working on Canada when I saw them but then we went "backstage" with a CM and saw what they were working on!

Sorry about dashing any hopes of an expansion on Canada.

I'm not sure how much room is behind Canada but I'm trying to picture a roller-coaster in the 360 movie building! It would be like a really tiny Space Mountain. :)
