This was the third time in a row today that I went and when they rung up my items that were marked on sale throughout the store they charged me the original price. Once was ok, twice, well, but the third time! What's with their system??? Anyone else run into this regularly?

Funhy you should bring this up! I went the day after Christmas just to see what was there. They had signs 75% off 50% off and none of it made any sense! I bought a stained glass kit and it was supose to be 50% off it came up not on sale. I then made her check each one before she rang it...oh the mistakes!

Same thing happened to me. I found some punch-outs on sale with a sign right beside them 50% off. When she rang me up it came out full price. They ended up giving me the sale price but It took them so long to check I felt bad for the others waiting behind me. I have learned to keep my eyes open at Michaels. Hope you found lots of deals on what we call Boxing Day here in Canada.:D

Gosh Pammy Jo I haven't seen you in a while. Hope you are okay! Target rang up an item for me wrong on Friday! I bought a Christmas book that should have been 50% off. I didn't catch it till I got home.

I am afraid to admit to this since you all seem upset but....

i have worked for michaels and ill give you a run down of why this is happening... depending on what day you go (especially saturday late or sunday) there is an ad problem... be especially careful if you see tags that are different through the store... they are supposed to put up the new ad on saturday night and pull the old ad too... once the sign goes up, they will honor the sale price for you, BUT you must be watching for it because it will not register in the register system. this happens on sunday if there were sale signs that got missed by accident as well and are still up from the previous week.... always be sure to check as they are going through the register....

you could read the fine print on the sale sign too.... they alternate weeks... one week will have red letters on white, and the next it will be white letters on red..... once you discover the color scheme for the current week, it is easier to spot potential register problems.... your best bet to get through quick is to bring the old ad sign with you and your product to the checkout, that way, they know you found it on the sales floor...

craftyscrappinqt. I was never upset with the lady at the check out It sounds like something they need to keep eye on. I appreciate the fact that they honour the sale tag if it is still on the shelf. Thanks for the hint about colour change I will keep it in mind for future visits. lol:wave2:
