Never fear! It looks like Biztravel is still offering their free membership. (http://misc.biztravel.com/CPageUtil_.dll?Content&path=Sp/car.htm&affiliation=BT3&ssnid=) See if that works for you.

Yeah, thanks Wendy!
The national site was "undergoing maintenance" for their online registration, but the offer was originally good through July. I think they're having LOTS of problems with their website, it fact I tried to change my credit card info and couldn't find a place to do it. I called their site support line and even the tech I spoke to didn't realize that part of the site had disappeared!
I guess I'm not too surprised you can still access the online registration through another site, but I bet they are!

from what I remember, the National site was offering the free EA sign up till June 15.

Hmm, could have sworn it was July, but even then they did stop it on the 14th! I know the opening graphic on the website was still about the free online signup on the morning of the 14th, but you couldn't access it.

If you work for a large corporation, check with your Corporate Travel. My company uses National as the main car rental and we get free cards. I also think Disney Club offers free cards.

I just went to Biztravel and could not figure out where to sign up for EA. Does anyone know how to do it or where else to sign up for it?
Thanks
Leslie

The free signup was until June 15th.
Profile update seems to be down.

I tried calling the (800)# listed on DC website & was on hold for 30 min! I had to hang up, couldn't wait anymore. I'll guess I'll try again later to join EC. Does anyone know if there are any additional coupons out there? I only have the DC contract ID. The other coupon in for the DC expires Sept 30. Our trip is in Oct.

I think the sign-up being gone and some other changes to the National site are being done due to some cases of credit card fraud.

I got through on the 800# this morning after only about 10 min. & the lady said she would mail me the info about EC. I just figured I'd go with National b/c of the discounts with DC, but do you think I could do better with someone else? I'm flying into Tampa.
