Howdy Everyone,

I was just wondering how the crowds and weather are the week before labor day. I was thinking of a short trip 5/22/04 - 5/27-04.

I have been to WDW in Sept. & Oct. before and was wondering hoe much more crowded it would be in May.

Thanks a bunch,

I have been the past 2 May's the week before Memorial Day. In 2002 I was there from the Monday before through the Sunday before Memorial Day. The crowds were great and the weather was wonderful up until the Friday running into Memorial day weekend. That place became a mad house!!! It was too crowded for my taste. 60-90 minute waits!! This past May, I left the weekend before Memorial Day weekend. Crowds were much lighter and very manageable. Most waits were 15 minutes top. The only problem this past May was that it was hotter and it rained a couple of afternoons. That is really my only complaint!!!:) I would definitely go the weekend before Memorial Day weekend and leave out by that Friday. It's a wonderful time of year to go with the International Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT. I just returned also from a December trip and it was the BEST trip down there!!:) It was AWESOME!!:) Hope this helps!!:)

It shouldn't be any more crowded, probably less, than Oct.Alot of schools will still be in session or that will be the last week for students, like my son,Erich who gets out May 25 this year.

The weather can be pretty hot and humid that time of year but we've gone in May for years and always had a great time despite the weather!

The last time we went in May, Epcot in particular was packed with school kids on field trips. It wasn't horribly bothersome but we were surprised by it. This was more in mid-May so maybe the field trips will be over by late May. If you find this to still be the case, plan to visit Epcot on weekends and evenings.
