I signed up with Connections today and checked out the park passes. Everything else I have found starts the Park Hopper Plus passes at 5 days but they offer 4day Plus. I'm very nervous about ordering any passes from them now. I don't want to get there and not be able to get in and be out $400!! The Connections customer service just told me that that was what her screen told her and assured me that the tix came right from Disney. I have a Hopper from 1989 so I don't need a 5day. Please let me know if anyone has used passes from Connections especially the 4 day. Thanks!!

I purchased 3 seven day and 1 four day park hopper plus from connections last October. Also purchased Disney Quest tickets and Universal tickets. Used all of the above with no problems whatsoever. I never did ask them what the number of plusses were on the 4 day though. The tickets arrived the day after I ordered them via Fed Ex.

Never used connections but on our most recent Dec 2000 we bought 4 day park hoppers straight from TDS.

They do exist. It was the "straight" park hopper, no extras, no water parks...

This information about Connections is very interesting! I am wondering what their price is on the 4 Day Hoppers?

I think they are refering to 4 day hopper plus passes. I saw this offered on a website offering discount passes, but i didn't buy them because I never heard of the site. They are supposed to have 1 plus day. I have never heard of them before. Anyone have any info?? Also how much is connections charging for adult/child?? Thanks!

I purchased mine last fall. The price then was 151.70 for the child's 4 day park hopper plus.

Pixie Dust Gal,
I did read your other post(very helpful!)and I asked folks there also. I was just concerned about the 4day Plus. I know that the non-plus comes in a 4day but even the Disney agent had never heard of it. My experience with the agents at Connections is less positive. Both were difficult to understand and seemed completely unaware of any info unless it came up on their screens. Sorry for being so neurotic but I have visions of being interviewed on Hard Copy discussing my invalid passes!
Anyone else actually use the 4-day Plus? One plus? Any guarantee from Connections? The price is the same as DC without Plus so it just seems too good to be true! Thanks again for listening to my rantings! This board has been a fabulous find! :bounce:

Teacher you are too funny! I had the same experience with a cust. serv. rep when I called in the evening - the daytime was different. Ask to speak to a supervisor (during the day) they are most helpful.

Yes, Connections will take back any "unused or undamaged" certificates, etc. It is mentioned under there FAQ. When I placed my order, I was afraid it wouldn't get here in time. She said, if by chance it does not, just mail them back to us "insured" and we will credit your card.

I am still laughing.........................:p

If you are worried about the tickets not being legit, I would not.

Disney would be all over the company for copyright infringements and I don't know what else just for what they display on thier site.

Disney has to have some type of arrangement with connections, or some type of "connection" with connecitons.

LOL

Hi WDWO, I was wondering where you have been!;)

I agree with you 100%. That is why I took the leap - thanks to you;)

After seeing the certificates in hand, I feel very secure that they are not fraudulent in any manner.

Anyone know if that includes tax? Is there a shipping charge?

I just joined and spoke with a representative today. All of the prices include tax and shipping. Shipping is via ups on all disney stuff and also any gift certificate orders over $50. Any gift certificate orders under $50 are shipped via 1st class mail---but I do not think there is a shipping charge for this either!

pixie dust gal!
06-17-2001, 06:23 PM
FYI, there is a difference between gift certificates and meal certificates for WDW!

Gift Certificate purchases over $50 are sent priority mail - that would be for Red Lobster, Smokey Bones, etc.

The meal certificates for WDW, regardless of you order size, is sent out standard first class mail. I ordered over $200 in meal certificates and had to pay $10 extra for the 2 day priority service.

Just wanted to clarify....................

Thank you for the info! Like I posted, customer service on Sunday wasn't much better than Saturday! I did realize there was a difference between meal vouchers (certificates) and the gift certificates----but the representative led me to believe that the hopper passes and meal certificates would be mailed together if ordered together. Did you have to pay the $10--or did you pay extra to be sure that you would receive the order in time?

I wanted to expedite our delivery as we are leaving the end of this week. You can opt for the standard mail service at no extra charge.:D

Since the tax and shipping are included their prices on hoppers are even better than the military prices! I think I will jump on this deal!

An earlier post asked how many plus options on the 4day Plus-1 plus. The agent listed water parks and Disney Quest but I don't think Pleasure Island was mentioned.

Doctor P
06-18-2001, 04:56 PM
Hmmmm....Disney Quest is not available as a plus option on Park Hoppers as far as I know (only on Unlimited Magic Passes is DQ included as far as I know). The plot thickens!

pixie dust gal!
06-18-2001, 05:24 PM
DQ is not offered any longer on plus passes offered by Disney or Connections.

I had the exact same response to the Connections123 listing of a 4-day Park Hopper Plus! I've never seen a 4 day one and that was the one I needed.

I went ahead and ordered four 4-day Park Hopper Plus passes from them on Saturday, as well as 10 counter-service meals and 4 sit-down dinner tickets. I received my entire order today via UPS.

The vouchers, which look quite legit, indeed say "4 DAY PARK HOPPER PLUS PASS." Who knew? I have the internet page printed out where they clearly state that it is a PLUS pass. That's the great thing about ordering with a platinum card. If I have a problem, I'll let Visa do the fighting for me.

BTW, I was charged $196.54 for adult tickets and $156.88 for a child tickets -- tax and shipping included.

Traveliz
06-19-2001, 02:20 PM
LisaRex -- you mentioned the vouchers looked legit - I am wondering do you really have vouchers that have to be turned in for tickets or are these tickets ready to go right through the turnstyle.

Thanks!
Liz

I have vouchers that state they have to be exchanged at the gate. They are similar to concert tickets, but have full color Disney characters on one side and the type and price on the reverse side. Oh, and by using the passes I agree to file in Florida should I decide to sue WDW. :)

I am so interested in this program.

Could you tell me more about the meal things you bought? They are vouchers that can be traded for counter meals? Which restaurants are included? How much were they?

Do you recall the price of the 7 Day PHP for kids?

Thanks for the info! We go in September usually so if their prices are right I would probably wait and join closer to then.

LisaRex--
I just ordered my stuff yesterday (around noon)---and 1/2 of the order came today---via UPS. I received the 4 children 5 day hopper plus passes (mine were tickets, not vouchers) and I also received the "quick and casual" $10.50 lunch/dinner vouchers I ordered. They said that the children and adult park hoppers would be mailed seperately--so I expect them tomorrow. I also ordered Hard Rock Cafe gift certificates---I'll let you know when they come! Great service so far!!

LisaRex
06-19-2001, 09:12 PM
cascade, the 7 day park hopper plus passes are $292.50 for adults and $235.66 for children.

If you want more info about the restaurants, please check out the "Discounts at Disney Restaurants?" thread in this same forum. It's explained in far greater detail there. But you're right about waiting to join til later unless you want to pay far in advance.

tsapen, I'm not sure if I'm confusing you with nomenclature here. What I received is a ticket with a Disney character (Daisy Duck was one of them) in color on one side and the words "4-day park hopper plus" on the back and some disclaimers and instructions to give the ticket at the gate for admittance. Now whether you call that a ticket or a voucher I don't know. I'm pretty sure it's not the thingeymabob that I have to carry around all week, though.

Clear as mud?

LisaRex-
We must have received two different things---5 day hopper plus and 4 day hopper plus tickets must come in different forms. What we received today has the magnetic strip on the back and state that they are tickets. I'm sure that you will have a very quick exchange for yours. Connections seems to be trying very hard.

My aunt showed me her park hopper passes and they were exactly what I have. So I must have received the actual ticket. Sorry for any confusion!

Yes, you can use the plus feature at any of the WDW water parks.

i'm pretty sure the 4-day PH Plus is legit.
this pass is offered as a reward through programs such as Amex Membership Rewards, and Hilton HHonors.

it's basically a regular 4-day PH, with 1 Plus, i.e. 1 admission to the Water Park of your choice or Pleasure Island.

I received DH 4-day PHP today (the rest of us have annuals). It cost $196 and on the back says it has a value of $206 plus tax which equals $220.42 - pretty good savings I think. We will have to save the plus for another trip though. BTW, these passes are identical to the other disney passes with the character picture on front, magnetic strip on back, ticket type, and value, etc.
It came in a pass holder with instructions on where the plus feature could be used - one visit to any of the water parks or pleasure island.
I also received breakfast certificates - they expire May 31, 2002 for anyone interested for next year.

Pooh.kim or anyone else who has received theirs, when did you order? I ordered mine on 07/03/01 we are leaving on the 11th and I am VERY worried that I will not receive them on time.

dzneprincess, I ordered my tickets on Saturday and received them the following Wednesday via FedEX (or was it UPS?).

You should be fine. I did have to sign for them, though. If you won't be home, it may behoove you to have a sign directing the FedEx guy to a neighbor who is home.

I ordered 10 fast lunch certs on 06/28 I have not received those, on 06/29 I ordered for breakfast certs for char meal, I received those yesterday, and on 07/03 I ordered the 4 PH pluses...I called connections today and she sd that the other 2 orders hadnt even shipped, she wld have a supervisor look into it and call me back. That will be really bad for them, if they do not get these items to me in time, the PH alone were 707.xx and the meal certs were 105.00....if they dont get them to me in time they will lose a 812 sale.......today is the 6th and we are leaving on the 11th.........

LisaRex

dzne, that's the pits. I rcvd my order (10 quick passes, 2 adult and 2 children character breakfast passes, and 2 adult, 2 children 4-day PHP passes) in its entirety together in one mailing in 3 business days. (Of course, I ordered them together in one phone call, too.) Sounds like they screwed up not to have mailed the 6/28 order yet.

Were I you I'd call back and speak to a supervisor in person. You shouldn't have to wait for them to call you back. Ask for overnight mailing.

Good luck!

Doesn't it cost to join Connections in order to get these tickets? I thought I read it was about $80 a year to join, although you get one month free trial. Is anyone planning to cancel their membership once they get their passes to avoid having to pay the annual membership fee?

LisaRex
07-06-2001, 10:25 AM
I would have gladly paid $40 or less to continue the membership, but did cancel before the month was up. I just don't go to the movie store and chain restaurants enough to justify the $80. And the Disney tix were a one-shot deal. I don't plan to go back for a long time.

Like I said, had they offered the membership for $40, I would have gladly paid. But not $80. Call me a cheap wad. (Hey! What do you expect? I'm hanging out on the Budget Board!)

FWIW, it was a fairly simple, automated process to cancel the membership.

I've gone to the website for Connections and read up on it, but can't find where they offer the Disney tickets and meal coupons. Do I have to actually enroll before I'll be able to see everything they offer? When I do sign up, where will I find the Disney passes? How do you pay, credit card? Do you buy them online or do you call to order them? Thanks for all the info!

LisaRex

Yes, you have to join to see the information re WDW. It's easy to find once you register. It's under "Amusement Parks" or something user-friendly like that. The dining tickets are found under the same tab.

Hope this helps!

Can anyone tell me what the savings is on the food vouchers? Unless it's substantial I can't imagine why it would be better than using cash or travelers checks. What if someone doesn't want to buy an entree, drink and dessert? Do you lose the remaining $ on the voucher? My family eats different amounts of food at each meal. TIA.

Traveliz
07-07-2001, 12:06 PM
The savings would vary (or not exist at all) depending on your purchase. The certificates are not gift certificates with a set dollar amount but rather certificates that allow you an appetizer, entree, and drink (other certificates may vary). At any rate if you use that certificate at restaurant A and order a certain combination of items it might be a great deal; if you use it a Restaurant B it might be that no matter what you buy its not a good deal. Really the best thing to do is to know where you want to use them and then check the menus for those places to make sure its a deal for you.

wdwobsessed
07-07-2001, 04:48 PM
I agree with Traveliz,

Look at the menus at wdig.com to see what is offered at each restuarant.

In my case, for an 8 night stay we are getting several sets of the counter serve. (We'll work out in our benifit for Beaches and Cream and Tusker House as well as a few others)

Breakfast ones for the Crystal Palace

And one set of lunch ones for Marrakesh

At mousesavers.com she does a great job explaining the program and at which places it would be most benificial to use the vouchers for sit down lunches.

We are big eaters so the counter serve ones shoud work out in our favor. If we don't eat the dessert, I'll save it for a snack later.

Anyway...check out wdwig ... I did find that the counter serve ones are the best "deal". But you only save a few $$$.

I also like them because I have these meals out of the way and don't have to worry about paying for them, it's taken care of in advance.

Hi all, my only concern is that mousesavers site state, restraunts may change. My family and I are big eater and have PS at Tepiyakas and other sit downs for luch. I dont want to get stuck with vouchers that I cant use. Has anyone already used lunch vouchers and can you order Any item off the menu or do you have to select only certain things?
