KSC on July 4th?

We will be spending our second week in Central Florida
during Fourth of July week. I'm thinking that we may very well want to avoid the massive crowds at WDW or
USF on July 4th. I was thinking that a day on the space
coast might be fun. We visited Kennedy Space Center
for a few hours last year and didn't feel that we saw
all there was to see. Does anyone know if KSC has any special events planned for Fourth of July or if in fact
everything will be open on 7/4? Any info will be
appreciated. Thanks.

They will definitely be open, and obviously will be busier than usual. I don't know of any special events there, but you can double-check on their web-site or e-mail them at:
