I read over on Screamscape that Universal may be planning on getting rid of Universal Express. One possible explanation given was that Disney "patented" FastPass and is going to go after anyone (ie, Universal) who infringes on the patent.
I know that Screamscape is far from the most reliable source of information, but does anyone know if there is any trust to this? If the part about Disney is true, it's pretty pathetic on their part.

Earl and CoasterFEV already addressed this issue and they said Universal Express is not going away.

Thanks Barry...that's good to hear. I'm not really a big fan of FastPass (or Universal Express), but some people definately do like it. If it was my choice, I'd get ride of Universal Express and just keep the FOTL for the hotel guests.

for me going during the milder season you would have waited 30 min on spiderman-now the wait is always 40 min or more-just because the normal line only goes to one scoop.:( but during the peep season i love it! i mean you get all the passes you need in the morning- and rest in the after noon.

I thought they loaded the Universal Express and regular queue line in both Scoops. I remember when Universal Express was from 7 to 10 am and yes, they did load one Scoop with Express people and the other with the regular line. When I recently used Express, they loaded the Scoops as spaces were available.
