Just wondering if there was sand on the bottom of the main pool at Portofino Bay? You know kinda like the Stormalong Bay at Disney's Beach and Yaht Club. I think every resort pool should have sand its really a cool effect. Hey why on the subject of pools does anyone know any details about the Hard Rock Resort? Slides? Sand? Size? Shape? Waterfalls? Thanks

Hi Fathom,

Portofino's pool was made to look like the shorline of a beach and where you step in it is sandy but soon this fades to a cement bottom.

Here is what I found on Hard Rocks pool.
Our beach-club style pool area lends a Southern California atmosphere, featuring these hot new amenities:

Underwater audio system so tunes are never far
Sand beach with wade-in pool
Private cabanas
Huge water slide for the kids (no matter what age)
