Hope I can remember all the places I ate last week-Boardwalk Bakery (sandwich and pastry), Chefs de France (lunch), CRT Breakfast (finally!), B&C, Rose and Crown, Pure and Simple, Pizzafari, Harry Ramsden fish and chips, French Pastry shop (5X), Tangerine Cafe, Yacht Club Galley (Breakfast Buffet-only once, but wish I could have gone back-it was great).
Pan-Seared Salmon at Rose and Crown was excellent, but dinner-time was so hectic and loud that even though the food was so good, I probably won't go back. Next time, I think I'll try AP salmon. I loved the hot deli sandwich at Pizzafari.
Any questions-I'd be happy to answer.

Hello Simba's Mom.
Can I please have your opinion (i.e. taste of food and value) on Tangerine Cafe and Harry Ramsden Fish & Chips. Thanks.

Tangerine cafe was a great value-huge quantity of food. It tasted pretty good, probably would have been better but I had "sensitive stomache" syndrome that night. But one day when my stomach feels better I'll eat there again. I liked Harry Ramsden fish and chips too, even though others haven't liked the fish-very crispy coating. But I wasn't impressed with the value. It's the only time I got 1 serving, finished it, and was still hungry. I didn't have any trouble walking over to the French Bakery and having a big pastry for dessert right afterwards. Most of the time, I don't finish (most meals are huge) or if I do, I certainly can't go somewhere for dessert for a while. Like I said, Tangerine Cafe seemed to me to give very big portions-I know I couldn't finish it, don't think I would have even if my stomach had felt better. I'd probably return to either place, just armed with a little more knowledge (don't go to Harry Ramsden's when I'm starving, don't go to Tangerine Cafe when I need a mild meal).

Thank you for your feedback. I'll just have to make sure I'm hungry when I go to Tangerine ;)

One thing that made French bakery particularly hard to resist is that each time I went by this time, there was virtually no line, maybe one person in front of me. I'm used to seeing a long line at the French Bakery, so I just "had" to take advantage of the good fortune of no lines.
