Anyone done the dinner and Fantasmic? I think I want to do this at the Brown Derby but was wandering how it all works and it it's worth it.
Thanks,

Hi HAMMERTIME,
This Dec. we'll be doing the Fantasmic dinner pkg for the first time as well. We called WDW-Dine and made the ressies from there. We picked Hollywood and Vine and according to the CM, at the dinner, they will give us a badge so we may have priority seating at the Fantasmic Show. I believe for Hollywood & Vine, it was only about $20 per person. That's all you have to pay, there weren't any additional fees.
I hope this little info. can help. ENJOY!

We've done the dinner package twice, both time with Mama Melrose. It was worth not having to wait in the very long line for general admission to Fantasmic. BUT, the last time we were there, Nov. 1st, we decided to try our luck, without the reservations. Were we lucky, we had center seats high up. The dinner seats are off to the right in the stadium, and the whole show looked so much better from the center.
So, is it going to be extra busy when you're there? If it is, go for the dinner package, in fact if you're not sure, go for the package, the seats are not BAD seats, you do see the show and it's a great show, (but maybe not for young children who get scared).

I think I'll try for the package. It's just my DH and I(honeymooning). We're going the week between X-mas and New Years so I'm expecting crowds. Is Fantasmic the same as what is at DL? I love that show.

I wouldn't worry too much about doing it. My husband and I got engaged at WDW on new years eve. The next day we went to MGM and couldn't get the package (back then didn't do it during holidays). We sat for about 1/2 hour before the show started but had WONDERFUL seats.
Have fun!
