We are flying on AirTran out of Flint, MI on Dec. 7th. We understand that we can pre-book our seats 24 hours before our flight on the internet. What happens on the return flight from Orlando - do you just check in as usual and they assign seats at that point? If anyone has any info., it would be appreciated. Also any other tips for us flying on this airline and out of Flint.

Thanks,
Sandra

We flew AirTran in October. I called 1-800-AIRTRAN a couple of days before our return trip and told the operator that I was in a resort without access to the internet. I told her that I was traveling with children and she reserved the seats for me. We still had to check in at the airport and check our luggage, but at least we knew where we were sitting and that we would be seated together.

DH flys AirTran weekly.
You just log on to their site and select your seats. You can even print off your boarding passes. It's really easy.
On your return, you need access to a computer/Internet to book your seats, but I'm sure if you call them they will assign them.
My parents just flew down here from Flint a few weeks ago and really enjoyed their flight.

If you have any specific questions, I'd be glad to help.

We flew down in August, and until an airline has direct flight from YXU-MCO we will be flying from Flint whenever possible. It's a great airport, easy to navigate and easy access, and we had absolutely no issues with Air Tran.

We took a laptop with us and I used Netzero to dialup to the Internet (they give you 10 free hrs/month). I reserved our seats the night before from our room but didn't print the boarding passes as I had no access to the printer. When we got to the desk they had our seat assignments and printed out the passes for us - and we were on our way.
