Seeing all of this going on with Roy Disney makes me wonder how much of Disney the family owns. Are they considered major shareholders? Is Roy the only Disney involved? It seems to me that anything that huge with a families name on it, should have the family involved somewhat. Heck, the family should want to be involved. Are any of Walt's kids or grandkids employed by Disney?

The Walt side of the family pretty much went extinct (company-wise) after Ron Miller "retired" and Retlaw was sold to the Walt Disney Company in the 1980s. There is nobody of importance left from either side now that Roy quit AFAIK.
Walter Elias produced a documentary on his grandather which was distributed by the company, but that's all I can think of.

Not sure about the rest of the family, but Roy Disney is reported to own 17 million shares, or 1% of the oustanding shares. This info should be in the annual report somewhere.

Family or no family, the current bigwigs still get alot of mileage out of the name.

You would think all of the grandchildren would have some shares at least.
