Hi everyone!
We are starting to plan for our trip next year but are not sure when we will be going yet, do any of you know when the school holidays are in Florida as we would liuke to go when there aren't many people around.
We are loking to go for three weeks and spend a couple in AKL I can't wait and it's not even booked yet! ha ha
Thanks for you help

School holidays in the states vary depending on the state/county. We don't get mid-term breaks like your children do. Just Thanksgiving/Christmas/Spring break, with a few odd days off thrown in. Post a time period and I can tell you what you might expect.

oh ok thanks, I was looking at either the first three weeks in May or the first three in October specifically.
We went over in April this year and it was a bit busy for the 2nd week of our holiday, especially around the Tampa Bay area.
Thanks for your help!

We went from the 5th October this year and found it was a good time of year to go with lots of things to do. It did get busier when it was UK half terms though :)

Howdy--another US lurker here, but I think I can help a bit.
October and May would both be good choices with 2 minor exceptions:
There is a long weekend in October, Columbus Day (this is more of a Northeast holiday, but the weekend around 10 October might be a tad busy, otherwise, not much up in October)
The first 3 weeks of May should be great. Not too hot yet, most kids still in school, and our big beginning of summer holiday (Memorial Day) is not until the very end of the month.
Good Luck with whatever you decide.
I second Debster's comments. As was previously mentioned, you might find the place crawling with Brits in October, although that's my favorite time of the year.
