HELP!!!
The only time I ever rented a car was when my car was in the shop and my insurance company was picking up the cost of the rental.
We need at least a mid-sized car for our February trip. I don't really know where to start. We will have our DS with us (20 months) and we are flying so I figure we want something that will be quick and easy from the airport without costing a fortune.
Where do I start?
Thanks!

Hi!
Call your credit card company and ask for discount coupons, or if you are a member of any organization, Sam, AAA, BJ"S,etc. '
Also recommend mouse saver .com and this site surf OLD THREADS , the past few weeks under Transportation, Budget, and Travel Families.
ENJOY!!!

Here are two other sites you can check for rental codes:
www.rentalcodes.com
www.rentalcars.com
You can also download a free program called SideStep that will compare prices around the web automatically. This program was suggested to me by a fellow DisBoard member. The download is FREE! If you're interested here's the link:

Check the rules, regulations, and policies for the various companies. One reasonably easy place to do this is Travelocity.com where you can also quickly find everyday low prices (not all the specials).
Some companies require that you buy some of their insurances if you use a debit c ard. Some have geographical restrictions (not importatn if you are just driving to and about Disney.) Some require that you buy their insurances if your own car back at home doesn't have those coverages.
If you really want specials your fingers and mouse will do a lot of walking through the yellow pages. You will have to visit each rental company site and plug in the codes you foudd in Mousesavers.com and elsewhere and see what comes out. And try again every coupl'a days if you didn't like what you saw the first time since rates change.

Becca- also look into joining the Emerald Aisle at National Car Rental. NO LINES if you join- that can sometimes be a great benefit if you have a little one in tow! You can use National coupons etc. found on mousavers.com in addition to being a Emarald Aisle member. The most useful discount codes I've used for National are the Darlson Wagonlit code and the $15.00 off coupon- do you have American Express? There's an additional code to the 2 above that will help discount even more. Good luck!
