I heard in another thread that all of the MM statues were presented in front of the MK...
will this be their home, or will they be scattered throughout WDW by the time I arrive in
January...I can't wait to see these and don't want to miss any...
Thanks,

We were there for Mickey's birthday. All the speeches said they would be there until April, then start touring the country. They actuaaly were some of the cutest pictures we got. Have fun! Kim:earseek:

We were told (by the trusty handy dandy monorail drivers who have ALL the info. LOL) they will be at WDW until April then off to Disneyland for 6 months.
After that they will be auctioned off for charity.
I have no idea what the auctions will go for, but it would be cool to have one!

This is the info I got from a Cast member sight...
The statues will remain on display near the main entrance to the Magic Kingdom Park through April, at which time they'll embark on a national tour that's scheduled to include stops in Philadelphia; Boston; Atlanta; Minneapolis; Chicago; Denver; Kansas City; Houston; Dallas; Portland; Washington, D.C. and New York City.
The statues then will appear at Disneyland Park before Sotheby's Auction House auctions the statues to raise money for charities of each artist's choice.
It is to my understanding that the statues were originally supposed to be located throughout the park but after the ceremony the VP of MK decided that he wanted them to remain together at the entrance (which I pesoanally think was a great idea, it is nice to see them all at once and not have to hunt for them)
And here is the link to view them all :)
For more details about the statue tour, visit www.disneyconsumerproducts.com on the Internet.

When you say "at the entrance of MK" do you mean INSIDE MK or OUTSIDE? In other words, can anyone simply take the monorail over to MK and see these statues without using a park pass to get inside? I've looked through all the responses and nobody is entirely clear about this.
Thanks, Art

All of them are currently OUTSIDE the ticket turnstiles at the Magic Kingdom, so you do NOT need to enter the park to see them.

The Mickey's are located outside the ticket area and inside the ticket area. They are like half and half.
They start out by the Ferrie/Boat Dock area and go all the way up to the area under the train.
You need a park ticket to see the ones closes to the train area. But not for the ones in boat dock area.
But you can see the ones inside the main gate, but you can't really get any good pics of them.
Here is a link that will show you pick of all of the Mickeys

Personally I am disappointed that they will NOT be moved around the park. They are a bit overwhelming all togehter and I think it would be easier to appreciate them if they weren't lined up like they are.
There is no element of surprise in finding one the way they are now. And a lot of them probably get overlooked.
