Called 407-824-2832 and talked to the nicest CM. I booked a ride for 12/3 8:30 at night. I'm so excited to surprise the kids with something like this. I think its a great value at 30.00.

What is this sleigh ride you are talking about. I have not heard of this. It sounds great. Fill me in please.

I just called about this sleigh ride. They said it is 30 minutes long and takes you on a ride through Fort Wilderness area, there is apparently a path it goes on. I was hoping it was more Disney oriented. oh, and It can take up to 4 adultsl

I'm thinking about taking my parents one night. I'm on a solo trip Nov. 29-Dec 6, but they're going to be in the area. We're spending a day together (I got the a park hopper pass), and having dinner at Boma. This might make a nice way to wrap up our day/night together!

Holiday Sleigh Rides at the Wilderness Lodge

Enjoy a leisurely 30-minute carriage ride through the Walt Disney World backwoods from November 30 - December 30! . All rides depart from the Porte Cochere in front of the Wilderness Lodge and will return to the same location every half hour between 5:30pm and 10:00pm (December 24th hours are 3:00pm - 7:00pm). Cost is $30 (tax included) per carriage. Up to 3 adults and 2 children or 4 adults will fit in the carriage. To reserve call WDW-PLAY; Please arrive 15 minutes prior to ride time. For same-day bookings, call 407-824-2832. A $30 fee will be charged for no-shows or for cancellations within 24 hours.

No-Smoking allowed. You may bring their own drinks on board. The ride will go out in mist, but not in rain. Trips may be cancelled due to inclement weather and rescheduled in which case you will not be charged.

I just booked mine for December 8 ... they had lots of the earlier time slots left but everything after 6:30PM up until 10PM was gone ... I can't wait to go :)

Y'all should check out the ICE event at the Gaylord palms. that looks like loads of fun and is very very affordable compared to everything else!!

We're surprising the kids with that one. Can't wait to try the ice slides!!

That is really cool. I just sent the site to my husband. I hope we can make it there. Do you know how long it takes to get there from Disney World? Thanks for the great idea.:sunny:

I don't know how long it takes but I do know we pass it on the interstate when ever we go from Disney to International Drive, so it's not that far. How is that for awful directions? I should probably print out some directions since we're not that far from our trip!! One more thing to do. Thanks for the reminder!

BTW, the tickets are sold for blocks of time...9-1, 1-5, and 4-9 or 10, I think. (Check the website for accurate info) We live in a non-snow area, so I know my kids will love it. And it's easy to keep this one as a surprise!! The Disney stuff isn't easy for me!!lol

We are doing the Fantasmic Light Show at 6, having dinner at Wispering Canyon at 8:10 and the Sleigh Ride at 10 on 12/3.

Sounds like the perfect ending to a wonderful day.

Does anyone know how many sleighs run at the same time? I'm hoping to surprise my DH, for his birthday on December 3rd, calling tomorrow morning. If it's only one, looks like I may be outta luck. :(
