Novice's guide to tickets

The last time I went to Florida was 10 years ago. I am now planning a return trip with the family. Can somebody please explain how the various tickets work in practice as I cannot find a clear explanation on any websites.

If we buy a "7 day hopper plus" pass what are we entitled to? Is it a total of 7 days entrance to the main parks PLUS an additonal 4 days access to Typhoon lagoon, Blizzard beach etc. Or does it give a total of 7 days access including time spent in Typhoon lagoon / blizzard beach (so spending a whole day at Typhoon lagoon would counts as one of the 7 days).

Could somebody who has been there recently and used one of the "plus" hopper passes help?

If you buy a7 day hopper plus pass you are entitled to unlimited access to all 4 theme parks which you can use on whatever days you like. If you don't use them all, they will not expire.
If you had say 4 plusses on your ticket, you can use it to go to the waterparks etc 4 times. again these will not expire.

Lin is right - the PLUSSES on the 7 Day Park Hopper Plus passes are four admissions to the water parks, Pleasure Island etc. These, like the 7 days of unlimited access at the four main parks never expire if you do not use them all up. You can also opt for the 6 DPH Plus which gives 3 plus admissions or the 5 DPH Plus which gives you 2 plus admissions.

I am sorry but I am being very dense. To make it totally clear is the following itinerary possible with a 7 day hopper plus ticket.
Day1 - Magic Kingdom (1st day on hopper pass)
Day2 - Epcot (2nd HP)
Day3 - MGM (3rd HP)
Day4 - Typhoon lagoon (1st plus day)
Day5 - Pleasure island (2nd plus)
Day6 - Blizzard beach ( 3rd plus)
Day7 - Animal Kingdom (4th HP)
Day8 - Pleasure Island (4th plus)
Day9 - Magic Kingdom (5th HP)
Day10 - Animal Kingdom (6th HP)
Day11 - Epcot (7th HP)
I am not saying this is what I would choose to do simply asking is it possible on this type of pass.

Yes. Totally possible.

Although of course, you can use a PLUS on the same day you used a park ticket - i.e. if you were to spend the morning at MGM, afternoon at Epcot and evening at Pleasure Island, you'd have used 1 day on your ticket (park-hopping between MGM & Epcot) and one PLUS for PI.
