We are very gently toying with the idea of taking a shortish surprise trip for DD's 4th birthday in April. This would be the week after Easter. The websites list April as a peak month, but is this still true later in the month? TIA for your help!

The crowd levels drop dramatically after the week after Easter. The weather is really pleasant then, too.

Easter itself is really busy, but not unmanageable! The only thing to keep in mind for the week after Easter, there may still be some Spring Breakers going on. Good Luck!

We went the week after Easter 2 years ago because it's our
school system's Spring Break. Crowds were not low but not
awful-just normal Disney crowds. We used FastPass quite easily and did everything we wanted. There were lines but we had plans for line activity so it was fine. Plus, you can meet fun people in line!
It's a good time to go.

If you mean April 12- 19 that is prime vacation time for all us in public schools here in upstate NY and for my sisters and their families in the midwest.

We were there this year starting the Sunday after Easter for 5 days. It was great! The weather was perfect - not too hot - and the crowds were ok too. It definitely got busier in the afternoon (at MK), and the one night the park was open after 7:00pm.

We were able to do everything we wanted. Great time to go.
