If I go to ESPN and only want to order a snack and a beer will they make me sit in the bar area? Also, are there tables near the video area so we can sit and still see our boys? Has anyone ever ask for a team discount for souveniers in the shop there? We have to bring something back to our boy's bball team and I thought this would be a good place to shop.

I do not know about team discounts, but do not feel constrained to the ESPN Club. You can also get ESPN merchandise at Team Mickey in DTD (and may want to if you have a DTD discount of any kind).

Feel free to sit anywhere, no matter what you're ordering. Depending on what time you go, though, it might be easier to sit in Sidelines -- there are cocktail tables and booths there, not just the bar. Sometimes the wait for SportsCentral can be loooong. The entire restaurant is also non-smoking now, including the bar area.

The video game area is in the store, it's not visible from the restaurant or bar. If you sit in a booth, though, there are individual TVs in there with video games and you can ask your server for the controllers. They don't always give them out during peak times, though, because the controllers can be hard to keep track of. During the day, though, you won't have a problem.

Yes, you do get a team discount in the store next door. It's whatever your discount percentage is. (So if you get the holiday stuff, even better!)

Hi, we just returned last week. I wanted to mention that I tried to get discounts in Downtown Disney, and purposely waited to buy several gifts until we got to World of Disney. Well, there is no more American Express or Disney Vacation Club member discount. The only discount is the Disney Club (or whatever that is ) BUT the club discount is only until the end of this month per the lady at the counter there. I was extremely disappointed. And she said people have been VERY upset.

Do they take priority seating?

Oops -- when you said team discount, I thought you meant Team Disney! Sorry! There isn't a team discount for baseball teams or anything like that, but there are a bunch of less expensive items for sale. (Magnets, keychains, that sort of thing.)

No, ESPN doesn't take priority seating or reservations. It is first come-first served. The bar area (sidelines) is seat yourself, The other half of the restaurant (sportscentral) is wait-to-be-seated.
