Memorial Day

How are the crowds durning the Memorial Day holidays? Does Disney do anything special around that time? Also, do the crowds lessen after the holiday?

Crowds are as you would guess, many FL locals show up as well, but it is still always fun!! As for if they do something special, not to sure, but they will post it on the main disney page if they do! Good Luck!

Memorial day is busy. My birthday is May 27th and I make a point of spending my birthdays at WDW. It is slow until the Friday of the holiday when things fill up and on Tuesday it becomes slow again.
On the weekend there are wait times of 2 hours for rides like Splash Mountain and Buzz, but if you hold out till the Tuesday after the wait time is 30 min or less.
It is always fun though no matter how busy it becomes. Peggie

We were at WDW Memorial Day week last year and crowds weren't noticeably bad all week. I remember on Memorial Day, DS did TT in Epcot, didn't use FP, single riders line only had about a 15 minute wait around 10:30. But unfortunately, I don't think they did anything special for the holiday.

Thanks. I've been for the 4th of July, and I didn't think it was extremely bad. Considering I will spend the week there before the Memorial day, we'll get in plenty of parks before the holiday.
