Nesco Roaster - Help!

I was originally going to post a whining-feel-sorry-for-me thread because my second crock pot broke since Sept! :eek: (It got too hot & the control knob cracked right in half!)

Then my Dad showed up with a 12qt Nesco roaster. (He & Mom are beginning to reduce their inventory in prep to go to the "bingo hall".) Anyway, I've never used one & of course there is no manual with it.

How do you use yours? Do you only use it for meats or can you use it in place of a crockpot for some things? I have no idea how this thing even works. . .. . so HELP!!

Go to the Nesco website and you can probably order a manual for it.

you are going to LOVE It......everything from crock potting to roasting to baking .....I even have a recipe for a cake in there....or bread.....this is the site I use
