DH and DS played a full week, many times, at various WDW golf courses last May. All but Palm, though-that was closed at that time because of some construction (I think either Shades of Green renovation or a new clubhouse, DH said). All other courses were fine, no signs of construction anywhere (included the one we're looking for, Eagle Pines DVC).

We played LBV on October 30 and there is no impact from construction. We played Oak Trail on October 28 with no construction impact. The new clubhouse at Palm/Magnolia is open and very nice. It is on the Magnolia side. We didn't see Palm, but there may be some impact from SOG construction.

Played LBV on November 3rd. It was fine, no construction problems. It is challenging and well taken care of. Greens are fast. A little costly at $109 though.

Disney courses are not cheap but have a foursome of guys going there to play (as we did last year) and the Disney golf package is a good deal (for a bunch of Disney freaks...as we call ourselves) as long as two guys don't mind sharing a room at moderate resorts.......we play 36 a day and the second round is only $25 and you can make replay round tee time in advance instead of coming off the course and trying to get on somewhere.........we are staying four (POR) nites, playing six rounds of golf on Disney property and with flights from Buffalo, NY is only $875 per man....the key is to go before prices go up in mid-Feb........I come down usually for a week each year with my family (wife and three kids) and then don't play golf at all, this trip is relaxing different way to see Disney at what I feel is a very fair price.......::MickeyMo likes to let the big dog eat...........

and I forgot to add, Disney handles all transportation of clubs and players to and from courses so rental car not necesary which saves money and is very convenient ........(if you have one too many alligator punces at POR pool bar...lol)......

What's this about $25 for a second round the same day? Is it only at same course you played in the morning, "sister" courses (like Osprey/Eagle Pines), or can you play the second round at any of the five courses? Do you know if this is offered all year round? Although, come to think of it, DH played Eagle Pines last year, and the rate was $30 after 3:00. In May, he got a tee time right after 3:00, and it was still light when he finished. But this special doesn't include range balls.

If you go under Disney Great Golf Escape package you play second round for $25......the great part of this is you can prebook second round at ANY of the courses so you could book let's say Lake Buena Vista at 7:30 am then book Osprey Ridge for $25 rate at 1:00 pm..........don't have to wait till late afternoon rate where you might not get in 18 holes......if you are an avid golfer it is a great deal...........
