View Full Version : Can I definitely get the AP room rate at Riverside, if we only have a child's AP?

I am really considering getting the 7 day PHP from Paramount for the 3 adults in the party (it is funny to think of my 10 year old son as an adult). Anyway, I know that I need at least 1 AP to get the AP room rate at Riverside. Can I get my 6 year old daughter an AP and get the AP room rate with this? Or does the AP have to be an adult's?

Thank you,
Kris:bounce:

Yes you can--only one person has to have--some friends of ours did the same thing

I have read that most resorts require the adult to have the AP. I guess it depends on who you get when you check in.

If you email Disney, they will tell you that one person in the room needs to have an AP..adult or child does not matter. I've never heard of anyone being denied..just curious, was that denial posted on these boards?

If the only reason you're getting the AP is for the room discount, you may want to wait until they are released before buying the AP. They may not have AP discounts for your dates. When the last AP rates came out September was not included.

I don't know where I saw it....I thought it was the mousesavers site, but I can't find it now. I may have read it on this board, I cannot be sure. My plan was to buy DS an AP, but after I read that the adult may need the pass to check in, I decided not to risk it. I'll keep searching for where I read it and let you know if I find it.

There was a time in the not very distant past that Disney policy dictated that the AP had to be an adult one. But as we all know, Disney's Carousel of Policy is set it Jello, not stone.

They will now not give you any problems if you have a child with you that has an AP and are using that for the discount.
